Plant biomass collection on the Biodiversity Experiment at the Kellogg Biological Station, Hickory Corners, MI (2001 to 2011)

Dataset Abstract The biodiversity gradient experiment is an additional long-term study located within the LTER Main Site complex, in which a series of 21 different experimental treatments vary in plant species diversity. Treatments range from bare soil to single-crop rotations to multiple-crop rotations to annually fallowed fields with early successional plant communities. Plant species richness thus varies from 0 to >15 in any given 3-year rotation cycle. Treatment plots are 9.1×27.4 meters (30×90 feet) replicated in each of 4 randomized blocks. The study site was established in 2000. original data source http://lter.kbs.msu.edu/datasets/112

LEDAPS corrected Landsat Enhanced Thematic Mapper image data for Kellogg Biological Station LTER collected on 1982-12-30

This LTER Remote Sensing spatial raster dataset consists of LEDAPS corrected Landsat Enhanced Thematic Mapper image data for Kellogg Biological Station LTER, originally collected on 1982-12-30 (15:51:16.2400190Z) by Landsat 4, row 31, path 21. Cloud cover was 40 percent. The Landsat Ecosystem Disturbance Adaptive Processing System (LEDAPS) software was originally developed by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration–Goddard Space Flight Center and the University of Maryland to produce top-of-atmosphere reflectance from Landsat Thematic Mapper and Enhanced Thematic Mapper Plus Level 1 digital numbers and to apply atmospheric corrections to generate a surface-reflectance product. The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) has adopted the LEDAPS algorithm for producing the Landsat Surface Reflectance Climate Data Record.
