FIGURE 2. The original photograph of the blue river shark caught in the Bizant River on 23rd March 1982. The shark (Queensland Museum specimen number I 19719) was identified by Professor John Garrick as Glyphis spp. (John Garrick, pers. comm. to Jeff Johnson Queensland Museum 30th May 1983). The shark was confirmed as the 'Bizant River blue shark' (Jeff Johnson pers. comm. 3rd June 1983). The photograph has been digitally modified to remove objects from the background (Scale: bar = 100 mm).
