River-groundwater Interaction and Recharge Effects on Microplastics Contamination of Groundwater in Confined Alluvial Aquifers: Original dataset

The dataset includes all the microplastics analysed for the manuscript "River–Groundwater Interaction and Recharge Effects on Microplastics Contamination of Groundwater in Confined Alluvial Aquifers" by Edoardo Severini, Laura Ducci, Alessandra Sutti, Stuart Robottom, Sandro Sutti and Fulvio Celico (https://doi.org/10.3390/w14121913). The dataset "MP (ctrl and sample).txt" contains the raw data of environmental and ctrl samples. The values of the ctrl samples were used to analyse the statistical differences between ctrl and environmental samples and subsequently used to define the identification parameters (threshold) for the microplastics identification in surface water and groundwater, contained in the file "MP (after ctrl sample).txt".

The datasets contain flame shapes, flame transfer functions (FTFs), and time series data for
perfectly premixed methane/hydrogen/air flames operated in a model can combustor (see [1] for
more details). The data is divided into four main categories listed below. Each of these are described
in the read-me file in the subsequent sub-folder.

• FTF flame interaction: The level of flame interaction was systematically varied through
varying the spacing between flames and by varying the level of hydrogen enrichement of the
fuel.
• FTF confinement: The level of wall confinement was varied by varying the combustion
chamber diameter.
• FTF symmetry: The flame symmetry was varied through equipping the can with different
injector geometries.
• Time series: Time series data of pressure and heat release rate taken with different hydrogen
concentrations and combustion chamber lengths.

[1] E. Data-Perpendicular reading of single confined magnetic skyrmions

Thin-film sub-5 nm magnetic skyrmions constitute an ultimate scaling alternative for future
digital data storage. Skyrmions are robust noncollinear spin textures that can be moved and
manipulated by small electrical currents. Here we show here a technique to detect isolated
nanoskyrmions with a current perpendicular-to-plane geometry, which has immediate
implications for device concepts. We explore the physics behind such a mechanism by
studying the atomistic electronic structure of the magnetic quasiparticles. We investigate
from first principles how the isolated skyrmion local-density-of-states which tunnels into
the vacuum, when compared with the ferromagnetic background, is modified by the site
dependent spin mixing of electronic states with different relative canting angles. Local
transport properties are sensitive to this effect, as we report an atomistic conductance
anisotropy of up toB20% for magnetic skyrmions in Pd/Fe/Ir(111) thin films. In single
skyrmions, engineering this spin-mixing magnetoresistance could possibly be incorporated in
future magnetic storage technologies.

The confined eigenmodes of a chiral magnet are hence no longer the conventional standing spin waves. Here we report a combined experimental and micromagnetic modeling study by broadband microwave spectroscopy, and we observe confined spin waves up to eleventh order in bulk Cu2OSeO3 in the field-polarized state. In micromagnetic simulations we find similarly rich spectra. They indicate the simultaneous excitation of both dipole- and exchange-dominated spin waves with wavelengths down to (47.2 ± 0.05) nm attributed to the exchange interaction modulation. Our results suggest the DMI to be effective in creating exchange spin waves in a bulk sample without the challenging nanofabrication and thereby in exploring their scattering with noncollinear spin textures.

Molecular trajectories and general MD files: Molecular insights on confined water in the nanochannels of self-assembled ionic liquid crystal

This repository includes the MD simulation dataset of self-assembled ionic liquid crystal reported in the article of Sci. Adv. 7, eabf0669 (2021) [DOI: 10.1126/sciadv.abf0669]. The chemical structure of ionic liquid crystal is described in Fig. 1A. The cation involves an ionic moiety of N-methyl-N,N,N-triethylammonium group, and the terminals of the two alkyl chains are conjugated dienes. The anion is tetrafluoroborate BF4. The molecular and atomic-group charges of cation and anion are shown in the topology files named "ilc-oplsdft.itp" and "bf4-oplsdft.itp", respectively. The TIP3P and TIP4P/2005 models are employed for water molecules. After the careful equilibration process, the production MD was performed for 50 ns under the NPT condition at each composition. This dataset provides the configuration, topology, and general MD input files of Gromacs for all the states and models of bicontinuous and columnar structures obtained in the article. The 3D view of bicontinuous and columnar structures can be available in Fig. 2. The attached edr and log files are energy and general outputs of the MD simulation generated in our environment, and the xtc file is a trajectory output generated with a time interval of 20 ps.
