<p>Dataset for H2020 project Contracts2.0 (GA No 818190), WP2, Task 2.1, Deliverable 2.1.</p> <p>This dataset contains the information needed to reproduce the results in:<br> Bredemeier, Birte; Herrmann, Sylvia; Sattler, Claudia; Prager, Katrin; van Bussel, Lenny, Rex, Julia (submitted): Can the greater integration of biodiversity and ecosystem services into agricultural management be achieved through innovative contract design? Submitted to Ecosystem Services.<br> <br> The Contracts2.0 project aims to develop novel contract-based approaches to incentivise farmers for the increased provision of environmental public goods alongside private goods.<br> Based on a literature review and integration of expert knowledge, we identified a comprehensive set of approaches to innovative contracts deviating from mainstream AECM contracts, and provide an overview of the variety of contracts currently being tested and experimented with. This includes different contract types like innovative Payments for Ecosystem Services (PES) approaches, value chain approaches and land tenure contracts, as well as their hybrids.</p> <p><br> We analysed 62 cases providing insights into characteristics of contract design and contract governance and the wider policy framework.</p> <p><br> The present dataset contains information on the criteria and specifications used to describe the cases studied, as well as the evaluation of each case.</p> <p><br> This information has been compiled to the best of our knowledge based on the sources available.<br> <br> For further information on the project Contracts2.0, please visit our website www.project-contracts20.eu. </p>

Timeline of government interventions and events regarding the COVID-19 pandemic in Sweden December 31, 2019, to May 5, 2023.
<p>The Swedish approach to managing the COVID-19 pandemic has received significant attention in international scholarly work and the press. For this dataset, we have reviewed governmental and media archives to build a detailed timeline that chronicles significant policies, interventions, and events in the Swedish management of COVID-19. The dataset contains summary descriptions of what took place, when it happened, and who the principal actors involved were. Links to primary sources are provided for each entry. Because of the level of detail and saturation, the dataset offers a detailed account of Swedish pandemic governance and will benefit anyone working on Swedish pandemic management or doing comparative work between Sweden and other jurisdictions.</p> <p>The dataset contains details on the date an event took place (column 1), tags to facilitate navigation (column 2), details on the principal actors involved in the event (column 3), a summary description of what took place and who was involved (column 4), and links to primary materials (e.g., archival entries) (columns 4-12). Through a structured and detailed outline, the dataset provides a saturated account of policy interventions and events in Sweden during the COVID-19 pandemic for the period 2020-2023 until it was no longer considered a public health emergency of international concern by the WHO and complements existing and less detailed timelines published at earlier points in the period.</p>

Combining internal and external motivations in multi-actor governance arrangements for biodiversity and ecosystem services
<p>These files provide the original survey data of the paper on motivations for biodiversity conservation in Europe. This paper analyses the possibility of building a mutually supportive dynamics between internally and<br /> externally motivated behaviour for biodiversity conservation and ecosystem services provision. To this<br /> purpose a face to face survey amongst 169 key actors of 34 highly successful and prominent biodiversity<br /> arrangements in seven EU countries was conducted. The main<br /> finding of the paper is the feasibility of<br /> combining inherently intrinsically motivated behaviours (providing enjoyment, pleasure from<br /> experimentation and learning, aesthetic satisfaction) and internalized extrinsic motivations (related<br /> to the identification with the collective goals of conservation policy) through a common set of governance<br /> features. Successful initiatives that combine internal and external motivations share the following<br /> features: inclusive decision making processes, a broad monitoring by “peers” beyond the core staff of the<br /> initiatives, and a context that is supportive for the building of autonomous actor competences. These<br /> findings are in line with the psycho-sociological theory of motivation, which shows the importance of a<br /> psycho-social context leading to a subjective perception of autonomy and a sense of competence of the<br /> actors.</p>
Explaining non-adoption of electronic government services by citizens. A study among non-users of public e-services in Latvia
<p>This data was collected as part of the H2020 Citadel project, http://www.citadel-h2020.eu, project no. 726755. The objective was to analyse citizen motives for not using electronic government services. Using interviews among users of Citizens´ Service Centres in Latvia, the data is used to analyses the motives of citizens not to use electronic government services but to rely on non-electronic equivalents or on in-person assistance. Findings and fieldwork details are available in D2.1 of this project.</p>

Canada's national artificial intelligence governance system: Dataset from interviews with 20 government leaders & subject matter experts
<p><strong>Summary</strong></p> <p>Anonymized aggregate data from interviews with 20 government leaders and subject matter experts. The data was collected as part of a study of Canada's national system of artificial intelligence governance. The data was collected from February 2023 to July 2023. The dataset contains 610 topics that emerged from thematic analysis of interview transcripts from July 2023 to October 2023. The contexts, actors, resources, networks, evaluations, logics, functional bounds, rules, ecosystem-level dynamics, opportunities for improvement, and other topics contained in the dataset collectively represent the most significant components of Canada's national AI governance system that emerged over the course of the interviews with the 20 participants.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Notes for interpreting this dataset</strong></p> <p>Topics in analytical dimensions 1, 3, and 6-11 contain counts of the frequency with which aggregate topics emerged across each of the interviews with the 20 participants. <p>Raw data from a nationwide quantitative survey of preferences of municipal forest owners in Czechia. A random sample (N=520) of municipalities that own >50 ha of forest land and have got a valid forest management plan were sent a questionnaire with a cover letter by e-mail in two waves in July and December 2022; municipalities that did not respond were sent a reminder after three weeks.</p>

Data include 60 statistical indicators from seven categories such as health and social care, housing, and crime and justice.
