Bayesian analyses were performed employing MrBayes under the best-fit model GTR+I+G of molecular evolution for 20 million generations and 25% discarded as burn-in. Posterior probabilities are shown above the branches and maximum likelihood scores from RaxML indicated below the branches. Asia-I condensed is shown in Fig. 2b.

Cotton data for the Indian states of Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Karnataka, Maharashtra, and Madhya Pradesh for years 1999-2014
<p>Dataset cited by Gutierrez et al. (2023) and based on 1999-2014 statewide Indian Ministry of Agriculture data (NIC 2022) from Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Karnataka, Maharashtra, and Madhya Pradesh in central and southern India where most cotton is rainfed. This dataset is used by Gutierrez et al. (2023) to show that average yields increased with kg fertilizer ha<sup>−1</sup>, percent of irrigated land, and average June-December monsoon rainfall, and that though not significant, yields decreased with kg insecticide ha<sup>−1</sup> (Gutierrez et al. 2020).
