FIGURE 5. A 50% Majority Rule consensus phylogenetic tree of 18 most parsimonious trees. The tree was produced using 47 external characters from both sexes and 16 male aedeagal characters (see Table 1). Numbers above the branches are majorityrule consensus consistency (a value of 100% means that branch occurred in all 18 trees) and the numbers below branches are bootstrap, jackknife and Bremer support. Capital letters mark branches that correspond to explanations in the text, and names of terminal taxa in bold are new species. There are two terminal taxa ponaiti which represent the different morphs found on Aorangi Is. (A) and Tawhiti Rahi Is (T).
