<p><em>O_WESTERSCHELDE - Eurasian oystercatchers (Haematopus ostralegus, Haematopodidae) breeding in East Flanders (Belgium)</em> is a bird tracking dataset published by the <a href="https://www.inbo.be/en">Research Institute for Nature and Forest (INBO)</a>. It contains animal tracking data collected by the LifeWatch GPS tracking network for large birds (<a href="http://lifewatch.be/en/gps-tracking-network-large-birds">http://lifewatch.be/en/gps-tracking-network-large-birds</a>) for the project/study <strong>O_WESTERSCHELDE</strong>, using trackers developed by the University of Amsterdam Bird Tracking System (UvA-BiTS, <a href="http://www.uva-bits.nl">http://www.uva-bits.nl</a>). The study was operational from 2018 to 2020. In total 13 individuals of Eurasian oystercatchers (<em>Haematopus ostralegus</em>) have been tagged in their breeding area in East Flanders (Belgium), west of the river Scheldt, mainly to study their habitat use on mudflats of the Western Scheldt (the Netherlands). Data are uploaded from the UvA-BiTS database to Movebank and from there archived on Zenodo (see <a href="https://github.com/inbo/bird-tracking">https://github.com/inbo/bird-tracking</a>). Dados completos do estudo: COM O QUE SE GASTA AO FAZER CAMPANHA EM PLENA PANDEMIA? UM ESTUDO SOBRE OS GASTOS DE CAMPANHA DURANTE A DISPUTA PELAS CAPITAIS BRASILEIRAS EM 2020
<p>As eleições municipais brasileiras de 2020 foram realizadas em meio a pandemia da COVID-19 e essa circunstância fez com que uma série de mudanças fossem impostas na forma de fazer campanha, inclusive com adiamento do calendário eleitoral. Desta forma, o objetivo deste artigo é compreender padrões nos tipos de gastos de campanha declarados por prefeituráveis que disputaram o comando das 26 capitais brasileiras em 2020. As perguntas que movem esse artigo são duas: a pandemia trouxe mudanças para os tipos de gastos feitos pelos candidatos(as) a prefeito(a) nas capitais brasileiras em 2020? Há diferenças nos gastos que tipos de candidatos fazem durante a campanha? A pesquisa lança mão de uma metodologia quantitativa e reúne dados das prestações de contas de todos os prefeituráveis de capitais que tiveram as candidaturas deferidas, formando um <em>corpus</em> de 304 candidatos(as). No aspecto teórico, o artigo apresenta uma discussão sobre campanhas eleitorais e gastos de campanha. Do ponto de vista empírico, além de informações sobre os gastos de campanha, a base de dados da pesquisa também engloba variáveis como o gênero (homem e mulher), partido (legenda), região da disputa (Sul, Sudeste, Norte, Nordeste ou Centro-Oeste) e classifica os candidatos(as) a partir de quatro tipologias: incumbentes, candidatos(as) com mandato, candidatos(as) sem mandato e candidatos(as) a sucessor(a). A partir destes dados, o estudo busca identificar padrões entre os tipos de gastos dos candidatos(as), dividindo os(as) prefeituráveis por regiões do Brasil, como também por tipologia de candidato. Os resultados mostram que, apesar da pandemia da Covid-19 e das mudanças no calendário eleitoral, os gastos tradicionais de campanha seguem entre os mais representativos, enquanto os investimentos em campanha on-line são mais significativos apenas entre alguns grupos de prefeituráveis específicos, como aqueles(as) sem mandato e de partidos com menos tempo de rádio e TV. Os dados também apontam para a manutenção de mecanismos de campanha <em>off-line </em>apenas em algumas regiões do país, como gastos com comício e carro de som concentrados na região Norte. Desta forma, a pesquisa conclui que há um padrão nas campanhas em capitais brasileiras representado pelo gasto com mecanismos tradicionais (rádio, TV e material impresso), mas que também há diferenças nestes gastos tradicionais entre as regiões do país. Já os gastos com ferramentas de campanha on-line, mesmo em um período de pandemia e necessidade de distanciamento, representaram fatias pequenas dos gastos das disputas municipais, aquelas travadas de maneira mais próxima entre eleitor(a) e candidato(a). A pesquisa aponta ainda para diferenças relevantes entre incumbentes, prefeituráveis com mandato, candidatos sem mandato e postulantes a sucessor(a) na maneira como estes distribuíram seus recursos de campanha no pleito de 2020.</p>

Collaborazionisti o resistenti? L'accademia ai tempi della valutazione della ricerca (e della scienza aperta)
<p>Questo intervento tenta di rispondere alla domanda: ma una valutazione massiva della ricerca, come quella sviluppata in Italia con la VQR o nel Regno Unito con il RAE/REF, serve davvero? Nella prima parte discuto cinque argomenti usati per giustificare esercizi massivi di valutazione ex post della ricerca. Dopo aver mostrato che questi cinque argomenti non sono robusti, tento di spiegare a che serve realmente la valutazione. E suggerisco di abbandonare la retorica dell’eccellenza a favore di quella della solidità della ricerca.</p>
