Osiris Death Bed from Abydos

The god Osiris lying on his death and resurection bed. Discovered by Amélineau in the late 19th century in the tomb of First Dynasty Pharaoh Djer in the royal cemetery at Abydos known as Umm el-Qa'ab. This tomb while originally dated to the First Dynasty, later becomes attributed as the tomb of Osiris. It has been suggested that the sculpture was added to the tomb in the late Middle Kingdom / Second Intermediate Period. The artifact is of black basalt and represents the god Osiris mummified and wearing the White Crown of Upper Egypt, lying upon a lion headed bed. At the head and feet Osiris is protected by four falcons representing his son Horus and perched bove him is the goddess Isis depicted as a Kite. Osiris_Data_Test

<p>This repository contains data files needed to&nbsp;do a test run using the Osiris package. The files here are identical to the <a href="https://zenodo.org/record/7474112">Osiris_Data</a> zenodo repository, except that the climate data and crop yield emulator files are a subset (spatial and temporal) of the original files to enable quicker runtime of the Osiris functions. The primary objective is to ensure consistent package functionality across systems. The functions can run&nbsp;using the inst/devTests.R script, which has each function defined with the appropriate parameters for the test data files.</p>

Two-stream instability dataset from Particle-In-Cell code OSIRIS

<p>This is data of a particle-in-cell (PIC) simulation of the electrostatic two-stream instability; the PIC code used was OSIRIS [1].</p> <p>This dataset was used in [2] to demonstrate the possibility of data-driven inference of the Vlasov equation (which governs the evolution of the plasma distribution function in phase space) using sparse regression techniques [2,3].</p> <p>The details of the simulation are as follows:</p> <p>1. The simulation is in one spatial dimension and particle velocities are restricted to that same dimension (i.e. the phase space is 1D1V)</p> <p>2. The physical setup consists of two symmetrically counter-streaming populations of electrons at +/- 0.2c, where c is the speed of light; each beam has a thermal velocity of 0.04c. Each beam has equal densities, corresponding to n_0/2, where n_0 is the reference density of the simulation. There is a charge neutralizing background of immobile ions.</p> <p>3. The system size is 10c/wpe, where c/wpe is the plasma skin depth associated with the reference density n_0. The simulation domain has periodic boundary conditions.</p> <p>4. Each stream of electrons is represented by 10^4 particles per cell. Quadratic particle shapes are used.</p> <p>5. The standard Yee solver is used to advance the electromagnetic field. Particles are advanced using the relativistic Boris algorithm. Recording of OSIRIS-REx with the Allen Telescope Array during SRC reentry

<p>This dataset contains an IQ recording of the X-band 8445.8 MHz telemetry signal from OSIRIS-REx as it passed over California during the sample return capsule reentry. Antennas 1a and 5c from the Allen Telescope Array were used in dual XY (linear) polarization.</p> <p>The hardware configuration was as follows: the antennas were connected to RFCB LO d, which was tuned to a frequency of 8425 MHz and used an output IF of 512 MHz. A USRP N321 and N320 digitized both polarizations of each antenna. The USRPs used an external 10 MHz reference and PPS coming from the observatory distribution system, and LO sharing was set up among the four channels. The IQ sample rate of the USRPs was 61.44 Msps and a GNU Radio flowgraph was used to record IQ data to disk. The GNU Radio flowgraph stored the IQ data for each channel as 16-bin integers in the <a href="https://wiki.gnuradio.org/index.php/Metadata_Information">GNU Radio metatata file format</a>, with detached headers.</p> <p>After recording, the data was downsampled to 2.048 Msps centered around 8445.8 MHz and formatted using <a href="https://github.com/gnuradio/SigMF">SigMF</a> using the script do_sigmf.py.</p>

OSIRIS-REx Mt. Bigelow Ground Based Bennu Observations V1.0

This data set includes the ECAS system (Eight Color Asteroid Survey) photometry and light curve observations of the asteroid 101955 Bennu as well as the derived light curves. At the time of the observations, September 2005, the asteroid carried the provisional designation 1999 RQ36. Observations were made as a part of the OSIRIS-REx asteroid sample return mission ground observing campaign to characterize potential mission targets. 101955 Bennu was subsequently chosen as the mission target. This particular data set contains observations of 101955 Bennu and a series of 5 standard stars taken at the University of Arizona Observatories Kuiper 1.54-m reflector.
