Ermita construida durante el siglo XIII a raíz de la conquista cristiana. Primera iglesia cristiana instalada en la huerta de Carcaixent. Después de la despoblación y el traslado de la parroquia a Carcaixent en 1573, la iglesia quedó reducida a la ermita actual. Hermitage built during the 13th century following the Christian conquest. First Christian church installed in the orchard of Carcaixent. After the depopulation and relocation of the parish to Carcaixent in 1573, the church was reduced to the hermitage. Porta vestimenta de peregrí, capa i bastó, amb la carabassa, petxines, etc. Un gos amb el pa del sant a la dreta i, al fons, s'observen uns arbres i una ermita. ES: Aparece el santo de pie con la túnica levantada para que quede visible la llaga del muslo derecho. Lleva vestimenta de peregrino, capa y bastón, con la calabaza, conchas, etc. También hay un perro con el pan del santo a la derecha y, en el fondo, se observan unos árboles y una ermita. EN: The saint is standing with his tunic raised so that the sore on his right thigh is visible. L'escultura data del segle XVII i es custodia al Md'A. **ES** A pesar de ser uno de los artistas más virtuosos del primer barroco en Cataluña, son pocas las obras de Domènec Rovira "el Major" que se conservan, entre las cuales se encuentra este San Roque.
