Survey of Electrical & Electronic Equipment (EEE) Sector Stakeholders & End Users of EEE regarding Circular Economy in the EEE Sector

<p>The data is the full results of surveys of stakeholders in the electrical and electronic equipment (EEE) value chain conducted as part of the Horizon 2020 funded <a href="https://c-serveesproject.eu/index.php">C-SERVEES project</a>.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>The purpose of the&nbsp;survey was to provide guidance for the successful implementation of circularity in the EEE sector, specifically to develop circular economy business plans for four items of equipment: printers (inc. toner cartridges); washing machines; televisions; and network monitoring equipment. The survey aimed to capture data on:</p> <ul> <li>Circular economy awareness;</li> <li>Current practices relating to circular economy; and</li> <li>Circular economy opportunities, barriers and enablers.</li> </ul> <p>Investigation&nbsp;of opportunities, barriers and enablers focused on technical, economic, socio-cultural, regulatory and environmental themes. In addition, background information was also collected to enable some of the attributes of the respondent to be recorded. This included: country; city, years of experience in the industry as well as, in the household users&rsquo; survey, age and education level.&nbsp;</p> <p>The stakeholder groups surveyed are noted below, these being the key EEE supply chain actors. Driving social and economic development in the MENA region: the role of international organizations - Stakeholders' engagement meeting report

<p>On 15 November 2018, the Center for Public Policy and Democracy Studies (PODEM)&nbsp;hosted a&nbsp;stakeholders&rsquo; meeting in Istanbul with twenty-nine participants, including academics, experts, and&nbsp;representatives from civil society and international humanitarian and development organizations&nbsp;from Europe and the MENA region, as part of the Middle East North Africa Regional Architecture&nbsp;Project (MENARA). Through two panels of expert presentations and facilitated discussion, the&nbsp;participants addressed present challenges, ongoing transformations and future opportunities&nbsp;facing societies across the region, as well as the role of international organizations in addressing&nbsp;these challenges and opportunities. This report will summarize the discussion during that meeting&nbsp;in two broad parts, focusing on the region&rsquo;s challenges and positive developments respectively and&nbsp;is further divided into sections by issue subject. Two sets of policy recommendations are provided&nbsp;at the end of the report.</p>

Dataset for Green Transition Policies, Stakeholders and Practices in Albania

<p>This dataset contributed to deliverable 4.2 Regional Mapping Report and shows the Albanian mapping.&nbsp;This report is the second deliverable of WP4 &ndash; Measuring and assessing impacts and costs of a just green transition in the WB, of the GreenFORCE project. It was jointly authored by the WB project partners, as well as 2 subcontracted parties from the region.</p> <p>The EU Economic and Investment Plan for the WB includes a green agenda for the WB, with pillars to be pursued for transitioning towards a carbon-neutral economy. Such a shift will surely challenge the economies and societies in the WB. The social and policy context is yet fragile to allow for the development and mass distribution of green transition technologies, while human resources are not prepared and/or are insufficient to produce and implement innovation. Yet, the green transition also paves the way towards new development and resilience opportunities. The research will inform on the readiness/potential of societal actors (industry, academia, policymakers, civic society) to embrace the pathways to transformation, and will propose a framework for continuous monitoring of impacts and costs. The key findings and lessons learnt derived within WP4 will be transferred into the scientific papers and policy briefs (WP 2 &amp; 3) and published under the dissemination events (WP5).</p> <p>Regional mapping is a key task for the research, contributing to initial data gathering and the refinement of the research proposal, and to the sub-question on the identification of sectors and territories affected by the transitions and current progress of transition practices. This is a participatory mapping, engaging local stakeholders and communities to reveal local knowledge. Each WB partner will produce the respective country report, and Co-PLAN will work on the final regional report.</p> <p>This deliverable is the final regional report. It will also include the mapping frame used to conduct the mapping process. The WB partners will do the mapping for their own countries. The PC will subcontract data gathering for the remaining countries. The mapping is done for actors, practices and policies in place, territories upon the level of relevance and potential for engaging in green transition; and sectors. External Stakeholders Survey Results - The Future of Aquaculture The impact of 4.0 technologies worldwide

<p>Aquaculture 4.0 technologies have landed and are very likely to stay, aiming to play a major role within the implementation of new Circular Bioeconomy approaches. In this context, European&nbsp;aquaculture&nbsp;has been recently applying innovative and disruptive technologies to transform fishery management strategies. The so-called &ldquo;4th industrial revolution&rdquo; is projected to allow a 15-20%&nbsp;increase&nbsp;in the sector by the year 2030. In addition to the growth the revolution can provide, the benefits of Industry 4.0 include improved productivity, efficiency and reduced costs. Companies will be able to produce more, in less time, while allocating resources more effectively, due to a smooth adoption of interconnectivity through the Internet of Things (IoT), access to real-time data, and the introduction of cyber-physical systems.&nbsp;According to FAO data, the estimated production volume of fish from European aquaculture in 2028 will increase to approximately 1.4 million tons, needing more circular, digitized solutions to cover end user demand.</p> <p>This data was collected from a survey investigating the Future of Aquaculture The impact of 4.0 technologies worldwide. The results of this survey were used to understand the main challenges faced within the Aquaculture 4.0 market concerning usage experience and level of awareness, in order to identify barriers for implementation and key drivers to encourage adoption&nbsp;of innovative technologies within their businesses. The insights gathered will help us to improve our concept and ultimately the whole value chain of the Aquaculture 4.0 market.</p>

Literature review of the enablers and barriers to stakeholder and citizen engagement in climate change adaptation process (as part of Adaptation AGORA project)

<p>This dataset is the result of collaborative work for Deliverable 4.1 (WP4; T4.1) of the Adaptation AGORA project. This database was used to conduct a literature review of the enablers and barriers to stakeholder and citizen engagement in climate change adaptation process. It contains 123 papers retrived from Web of Science Databse in June 2023. <span>We used a keyword search to identify and select articles that fell within the scope of our research, with each article containing at least one keyword related to climate change adaptation solutions, climate change, co-production, citizen and stakeholder involvement and factors (enablers and barriers).&nbsp;</span></p> <p><span>We divided the coding framework into four main sections:</span></p> <ul> <li> <p><span>Section 1 collected basic information about the paper (i.e., date, journal, authors, type of study and methods for data collection). </span></p> </li> <li> <p><span>Section 2 sought to better understand the adaptation initiatives treated in the paper. After naming and defining each driver, we recorded the main type of factor, its impact, origin, and spatial and temporal scale of influence; the stakeholders who were responsible for and influenced by the factor, and the impacts on the various steps and outcomes of the co-production process.</span></p> <span> </span></li> </ul>

Multi-level stakeholder engagement

The visualisation indicates how different stakeholder engagement processes are linked together.</p> <p>The Advisory Board gives advice about the design and implementation of the real pilot in Catania (where one building is renovated with the e-SAFE technical solution) as well as the co-design and stakeholder engagement protocol. These protocols are informed by the results from the real pilot in Catania, and tested in two virtual pilots in other seismic prone cities outside of Italy.&nbsp;</p> <p>The EU-stakeholder forum exchanges feedback and information with the real and virtual pilots, and gets access to the co-design and stakeholder engagement protocol. In that way, local, regional and European level stakeholders are engaging with the e-SAFE project.</p>

S-LCA - Datasets for PlastiCircle Social Evaluation of the Light Packaging Waste Management (stakeholder perpectives)

<p>This deliverable (7.5) presents S-LCA results for the waste management systems in Valencia (Spain), Utrecht (Netherland) and Alba Iulia (Romania). Moreover, an extrapolation of the results has been calculated to show the results on the European level.</p> <p>Data is collected from groups of citizens, citizens associations, waste managers and municipalities (city hall workers).</p> <p>Questionnaires have been done in order to ask this groups of people questions to assess the social impact of the waste management systems in each city.</p> <p>Questions have been prepared according to the guidelines for social life cycle assessment of products - UNEP DTIE.</p>
