brass paperweight - ww2 blitz rescue
A 3d laser scan in commemoration of the end of hostilities in Europe over 75 years ago. The original brass dog is something I used to play with as a child at my grandmothers house. My grandfather rescued it from the ruins of a bombed out building in London during WW2, he served as a fireman during the conflict. Maybe, some other little people would like to 3D print and decorate? Source: Objaverse 1.0 / Sketchfab

Revisions. NS-Regime, WW2 and Holocaust in West-German Documentaries in the Early Federal Republic of Germany

This contribution presents an English summary of some of the important ideas of the project "Revisionen. Nationalsozialismus, Holocaust und Zweiter Weltkrieg im dokumentarischen Film der frühen Bundesrepublik Deutschland" (Revisions. National Socialism, Holocaust and World War II in Documentary Film in the Early Federal Republic of Germany) by the two authors Götz Lachwitz and Thomas Weber, which was published as a book. It deals with the hitherto little-noticed examination of the Nazi past, the Holocaust and the Second World War by the West German documentary films made up to 1961, which sought a new social approach to the past and thus sought to contribute to a resolution of the conflicts in their time. The project does not deal solely with well-known films such as Nuit et Brouillard by Alain Resnais or Mein Kampf by Erwin Leiser, but takes a look at a broader selection. Building on in-depth archival work, it also discusses films that have rarely or not at all been taken up in the specialized literature. Even if the discourses discernible in most of the films tie in with familiar interpretations, they still surprise us with a diversity of formats, distribution channels, and performance contexts, for example in documentary television series or political education work, which points to a more differentiated approach to the Nazi past in the early Federal Republic than has generally been assumed to date.

Published in TraMeTraMi, 7-2023: https://trametrami.avinus.org/publikationen/7-2023

Further Informations: https://produkte.avinus.de/produkt/lachwitz-weber-revisionen

Hand Painted WW2 JU 88 Bomber
This Plane model was done as part of a college piece of mine based on the topic of "Forgotten" I have one more plane to upload as this is the first of a mini scene. The tail texture did slightly self destruct during the exporting process needs to be fixed after the rest of my project is completed. All of the textures are hand painted with a select few being helped with the use of masking etc. Any and all feedback is welcome. The assembly line of the Junkers Ju 88 ran constantly from 1936 to 1945 and more than 16,000 Ju 88s were built in dozens of variants. E100 - WW2 Germany Heavy Tank
The Panzerkampfwagen E-100 was a superheavy tank project developed by the nazi Germany during the second world war. The E-100 was part of the panzer E series, which was an attempt of the Germans to standardize the fabrication and assembling vehicle lines and replacing their actual tanks. The tank was designed by Adler company following the Wehrmacht requeriments. Its design started during 1942, and its assembly started in the middles of 1943. But due to the Allied advances in the war and the Germany's resourses lack, Hitler ordered to stop the Superheavy tank projects and the work on the E-100 continued with a low priority, with only 3 Adler employees working on it. The E-100 was never finished and the prototype was captured by the Brithis forces, sent to England to being studied and finally scrapped during 1950s. Source: Objaverse 1.0 / Sketchfab

WW2 Shrapnel Damage on the Aston Webb Façade Pt1
http://www.vam.ac.uk/content/articles/t/v-and-a-at-war-1939-45/ Photographed August 1st, 2017 A comemorative inscription carved into a section of the Aston Webb Facade, along the wstern side of the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. Proccessed in Agisoft Photoscan Pro from 66 photos taken with a Nikon D5300 and a kit lens. It was a bright and sunny day (until it wasn't when a a cloud would move infront of the sun for several minutes at random), and the subject was quite white (which lead to the majority of my photos being over exposed). Unfortunately i didn't have enough time to go back and scan it properly, and also commited the cardinal photogrammetry sin of not checking my photos thoroughly until I had arrived back home, I also should have taken more care in collecting test images to ensure my camera settings were appropriate. I have some regrets :P Source: Objaverse 1.0 / Sketchfab

Antique Military Compass (USAF WW2 Era)
A compass is an instrument used for navigation and orientation that shows direction relative to the geographic cardinal directions (or points). Usually, a diagram called a compass rose shows the directions north, south, east, and west on the compass face as abbreviated initials. When the compass is used, the rose can be aligned with the corresponding geographic directions; for example, the "N" mark on the rose points northward. Compasses often display markings for angles in degrees in addition to (or sometimes instead of) the rose. North corresponds to 0°, and the angles increase clockwise, so east is 90° degrees, south is 180°, and west is 270°. These numbers allow the compass to show magnetic North azimuths or true North azimuths or bearings, which are commonly stated in this notation. If magnetic declination between the magnetic North and true North at latitude angle and longitude angle is known, then direction of magnetic North also gives direction of true North.
