Data from: Between the Cape Fold Mountains and the deep blue sea: comparative phylogeography of selected codistributed ectotherms reveals asynchronous cladogenesis. Sampling locations and MaxEnt input files

We compare the phylogeographic structure of thirteen codistributed ectotherms including four reptiles (a snake, a legless skink and two tortoise species) and nine invertebrates (six freshwater crabs and three velvet worm species) to test the presence of congruent evolutionary histories. Phylogenies were estimated and dated using maximum likelihood and Bayesian methods with combined mitochondrial and nuclear DNA sequence datasets. All taxa demonstrated a marked east/west phylogeographic division, separated by the Cape Fold Mountain range. Phylogeographic concordance factors were calculated to assess the degree of evolutionary congruence among the study species and generally supported a shared pattern of diversification along the east/west longitudinal axis. Testing simultaneous divergence between the eastern and western phylogeographic regions indicated pseudo-congruent evolutionary histories among the study taxa, with at least three separate divergence events throughout the Mio/Plio/Pleistocene epochs. Climatic refugia were identified for each species using climatic niche modeling, demonstrating taxon-specific responses to climatic fluctuations. Climate and the Cape Fold Mountain barrier explained the highest proportion of genetic diversity in all taxa, while climate was the most significant individual abiotic variable. This study highlights the complex interactions between the Cape Fold Mountains and past climatic oscillations during the Mio/Plio/Pleistocene. The congruent east/west phylogeographic division observed in all taxa lends support to the conclusion that the longitudinal climatic gradient within the Greater Cape Floristic Region, mediated in part by the barrier to dispersal posed by the Cape Fold Mountains, plays a major role in lineage diversification and population differentiation.

The data for "The feasibility of asynchronous rotation via thermal tides for diverse atmospheric compositions"

Supporting code and data for Salazar & Wordsworth, 2024

Description of Jupyter Notebook files:

(Figure_X.ipynb) Contains code for recreating all figures appearing in S&W, 2024 (labeled by figure number, X)

(ExoTides_analytic.ipynb) Contains functions from the analytic model for calculating torque and rotation states as a function of orbital and atmospheric paramters

(LMDZ_Processing.ipynb) Code for processing raw LMDZ data, including centering at the substellar point, spherical harmonic decomposition, and calculation of torque, amplitude, and lag

(ExoTides_int.ipynb) Demonstrates solutions by integrating Equation (7) numerically (not done in paper). Also includes a comparison with the analytic model

Description of Numpy array files:

These files contain numpy arrays of the torque (im_q), amplitude (amp), lag angle (lag), and parameter values (list) for each of the GCM sensitivity tests performed in S&W, 2024. These files were created using the LMDZ_Processing.ipynb file, which takes raw GCM output and outputs the torque information. Full details are available in the publication.

The beginning of each .npy file name signifies which sensitivity test the file is (ex: taulw indicates the longwave optical depth sensitivity test). The Figure_2.ipynb file shows how these .npy files are used.

Descrition of .csv file:

The nasa_exoplanet.csv file contains output from the NASA Exoplanet Archive (DOI: 10.26133/NEA12) and is used in the creation of Figure 7.

The data for "The feasibility of asynchronous rotation via thermal tides for diverse atmospheric compositions"

This repo contains the processed LMD Generic model output data needed to reproduce figures in Salazar & Wordsworth, 2024: "The feasibility of asynchronous rotation via thermal tides for diverse atmospheric compositions". Raw GCM data can be made available upon request.

The processed data is saved as numpy arrays. For each sensitivity test detailed in Salazar & Wordsworth, 2024, the GCM data was processed by taking surface temperature and surface pressure output and phase folding the data so that the substellar point is the origin of longitudes. Full details are available in the paper.

Supplementary Material - Supporting Shared Understanding in Asynchronous Communication Contexts

Supplementary Material for the paper Supporting Shared Understanding in Asynchronous Communication Contexts.

The material contains of a spreadsheet used for the Pathfinder method to measure a groups shared understanding on the topic of future mobility. Keywords for the spreadsheet were based on a vision video published by Hyundai (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J_OBgXalGFU).

Additionally, we also present the network similarity values obtained for each participant pair for each group. These can be found in the second spreadsheet.

Asynchronous event-based clustering and tracking for intrusion monitoring in UAS

This dataset describes a collection of rosbag files for event-based intruder monitoring using UAS. A DAVIS346 camera was mounted over a DJI Flamewheel F550 Drone, and an onboard computer recorded the sensor information from the event camera. Each dataset includes events, frames, and IMU measurements. The monitoring scenes were recorded outdoors at the School of Engineering of the University of Seville. In each dataset, an intruder moves and hides from the field of view of the camera simulating a scape-intrusion situation. A total of four monitoring setting were recorded:

Daylight monitoring: A daylight scene for intruder monitoring. An intruder runs and hides behind the objects of the scene to evade the camera field of view.

Night light monitoring: A monitoring scene during the night without the presence of any artificial light. The low light condition increases the difficulty of monitoring task due to the increment of noisy events.

Multi-target: An experiment with a suspect and a chaser drone moving in the monitoring area. The drone follows the suspect by simulating a pursuit operation.

Monitoring under illumination changes: A night scene where the lighting conditions changes by the movement of artificial lights in the scene.
