Evolutionary Overview of Surface Wave Method Based on Bibliometric Analysis: Past, Current and Future

<p>The surface wave method has been a cornerstone in seismic imaging and monitoring across diverse scenarios for the past 70 years. We offers an objective snapshot of the current landscape in surface wave method research through a comprehensive bibliometric analysis. Utilizing both bibliographic and structured network analysis techniques, including Biblioshiny and VOSviewer applications, we meticulously examine the literature spanning from 1952 to 2024, sourced from the Web of Science Core Collection database. This work has been submitted to "SCIENCE CHINA earth science" for peer review ( Guan et al., 2024 ).</p> <p>The package includes the datasets utilized for bibliometric analysis in the submitted manuscript. Bibliometric analysis of research trends in aquafeed formulation

A bibliometric analysis of systematic reviews and meta-analyses in ophthalmology, from 2000 to 2020

<p><span>Objectives:</span><span> To establish the scientometric landscape of </span><span>systematic reviews and meta-analyses (SRMAs) published in the field of ophthalmology over time.</span></p> <p><span>Results</span><span>: A total of 2,660 SRMAs were included, and t</span><span>he average annual growth rate was 21.26%. </span><span>China and the USA were the most productive countries, while </span><span>Singapore was</span><span> the country with the highest </span><span>average citations per document. Wong TY was not only the most productive, but also the most frequently cited author. The most productive affiliation was National University of Singapore (n=236). SRMA output in most subspecialties had steadily increased with retina/vitreous (n=986), glaucoma (n=411) and cornea/external diseases (n=303) constantly as the most dominant fields. Rates of </span><span>pre-registration and guideline compliance had dramatically increased over time</span><span>, with 20.0% and 63.5% of SRMA being pre-registered and reported guideline in 2020, respectively. However, SRMAs published on ophthalmic journals tended to be less frequently pre-registered and guideline complied than those on non-ophthalmic journals (both P &lt; 0.05).</span></p> <p><span>Conclusions</span><span>:</span><span> The annual output of SRMAs has been rapidly increasing over the past two decades. China and the USA were the most productive countries, whereas Singapore had the most prolific and influential scholar and institution. R</span><span>aising awareness and </span><span>implementation </span><span>of SRMA pre-registration and guideline compliance </span><span>is still necessary to ensure quality, especially for ophthalmic journals.</span></p>

Metadata of the Top 40 Journals in Distance Education: A Bibliometric Analysis of Impact 2018-2022

<p>This file contains metadata from the 40 most impactful journals in the field of distance education, selected through a rigorous bibliometric analysis using the SCImago Journal Rank (SJR) indicator provided by SCImago. Two main criteria guided the selection: the first targeted journals ranked in Q1 and Q2 in the specific category of "e-learning" within the social sciences and education area, highlighting publications that demonstrate high impact and relevance in the academic community according to the selected indicator. The second criterion was based on keyword searches in the journal titles, selecting those that include terms like e-learning, online, Distance Education, Technology Learning, Communications in Information, and Information Education and their variants (e.g., plural), also positioned in Q1 or Q2.</p> <p>The metadata, extracted from the Scopus database, covers publications from the period 2018 to 2022 and includes vital information such as document type, authors' names, article title, journal name, publication year, pages, volume, and issue number. Additionally, each article is identified by a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) and URLs for direct access to the full text online, along with abstracts and keywords. Academic Research at UNTRM: Bibliometric Analysis in Economic and Administrative Sciences

<p><span>Bibliometric analysis is crucial to assess research trends in disciplines such as economics and administrative sciences. This study aims to detail trends and developments in these areas at the Universidad Nacional Toribio Rodr&iacute;guez de Mendoza de Amazonas (UNTRM), highlighting emerging themes and influential actors. A systematic bibliometric methodology was used to understand the scientific focus of the publications of the thesis students of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences of the UNTRM. Scopus documents were thoroughly reviewed, using specific inclusion and exclusion criteria. The research followed a qualitative descriptive approach with non-experimental and longitudinal design. A total of 379 faculty theses were analyzed through December 31, 2023, using keywords such as "bibliometric analysis," "economic sciences," "management," "digital transformation," "business sustainability," and "energy efficiency." The initial search identified 786 papers, which were refined for quality assurance. Bibliometric analysis was performed with VOSviewer and Bibliometrix R, facilitating the creation of scientific maps and exploration of citation patterns. Results showed that the most researched topics include digital transformation, sustainability, energy efficiency and business innovation. Influential authors and institutions within UNTRM were identified and major research trends were mapped, highlighting emerging areas and gaps in the current literature. These findings are significant for future research as they provide a basis for exploring new directions in economics and management sciences. This bibliometric analysis not only maps research streams and scholarly collaborations at UNTRM, but also promotes a deeper understanding of the dynamics in these key areas of study.</span></p>

Current trends in scientific research on global warming: A bibliometric analysis (2005-2014)

<p>This dataset was created in the context of the project: &quot; Current trends in scientific research on global warming: A bibliometric analysis (2005-2014)&quot;.</p> <p>---</p> <p>Global warming is a topic of increasing public importance, but there have not been published scientometric studies on this topic. The objective of this paper is to contribute to a better understanding of the scientific knowledge in global warming and his effect, as well as to investigate its evolution through the published papers included in Web of Science database. Items under study were collected from Web of Science database from Thomson Reuters. A bibliometric and social network analyses was performed to obtain indicators of scientific productivity, impact and collaboration between researchers, institutions and countries. A subject analysis was also carried out taking into account the key words assigned to papers and subject areas of journals. 1,672 articles were analysed since 2005 until 2014. The most productive journals were Journal of Climate (n=95) and Geophysical Resarch Letters (n=78). The most frequent keywords have been Climate Change&nbsp; (n=722), Model (n=216) and Temperature (n=196). The network of collaboration between countries shows the central position of the United States, together with other leading countries such as United Kingdom, Germany, France and Peoples Republic of China. The research on global warming had grown steadily during the last decade. A vast amount of journals from several subject areas publishes the papers on the topic, including journals of general purpose with high impact factor. Almost all the countries have USA as the main country with which one collaborates. The Rising Influence of AI in Higher Education: Trends and Insights from a Bibliometric Analysis

<p>The purpose of this research was to examine the evolution, scope, and orientation of the scientific production on artificial intelligence applications in university students. The methodology, with a non-experimental design and qualitative approach, involved a search in Scopus, identifying 643 documents between 1975-2024, analyzed through VOSviewer and Bibliometrix. The results show an emerging field, but with rapid growth (4.59% per year), with notoriety of Kong, Abdulrahman and Chai. Research is predominantly in computer science (61%), social sciences (33%) and engineering (23%) from China, USA, Spain and Taiwan. Current applications focus on the use of AI in education, machine learning, support for academic decisions and student mental health. However, it is necessary to expand the approach towards ethical and regulatory aspects and the evaluation of multifaceted effects on different student profiles. In conclusion, although production is growing rapidly, more comprehensive perspectives are required to responsibly enhance the impact of these technologies on the university educational experience.</p>

It provides scholars with a roadmap for understanding where the field has been and where it might go in the future. In particular, this analysis details the venues in which knowledge syntheses are published, the types of syntheses conducted, citation rates they produce, and altmetric attention they garner.</p> <p><strong>Method</strong>&nbsp;In 2020, the authors conducted a bibliometric analysis of knowledge syntheses published in 14 core medical education journals from 1999 to 2019. To characterize the studies, metadata was extracted from Pubmed, Web of Science, Altmetrics Explorer, and Unpaywall.</p> <p><strong>Results</strong>&nbsp;The authors analyzed 963 knowledge syntheses representing 3.1% of total articles published (n=30,597). On average, 45.9 knowledge syntheses were published annually (SD=35.85, Median=33), and there was an overall 2,620% increase in the number of knowledge syntheses published from 1999 to 2019. The journals each published, on average, a total of 68.8 knowledge syntheses (SD=67.2, Median=41) with&nbsp;<em>Medical Education</em>&nbsp;publishing the most (n=189; 19%). Twenty-one knowledge synthesis types were identified; the most prevalent types were systematic reviews (n=341; 35.4%) and scoping reviews (n=88; 9.1%). Knowledge syntheses were cited an average of 53.80 times (SD=107.12, Median=19) and received a mean Altmetric Attention Score of 14.12 (SD=37.59, Median=6).</p> <p><strong>Conclusions</strong>&nbsp;There has been considerable growth in knowledge syntheses in medical education over the past 20 years, contributing to medical education&rsquo;s evidence base. Beyond this increase in volume, researchers have introduced methodological diversity in these publications, and the community has taken to social media to share knowledge syntheses. Implications for the field, including the impact of synthesis types and their relationship to knowledge translation, are discussed.</p>
