Core bibliometric Covid19 and comparable research dataset and code for the study "From intent to impact: Investigating the effects of open sharing commitments"

Bibliometric and spatially georeferenced datasets of beach research in Mexico from 1993 to 2023

<p><span>These datasets resulted from a systematic review of published investigations on Mexican sandy beaches from 1993 to 2023. The literature search was performed on late December 2023 using three bibliographic repositories: Scopus, Web of Science and Redalyc. In the first dataset all records were standardized following the format of the Scopus database, including the following bibliographic metrics: authors, title, publication year, source, citations, authors' affiliations, and keywords. </span></p> <p><span>The second dataset includes the georeferenced beach location according to information provided in the articles listed in the first dataset. On this regard, the dataset includes the following fields: citation of the literature source; name of the beach as provided in the literature sources; latitude and longitude in grades, minutes and seconds using the geodetic datum WGS84; the research theme; and the research subtheme.</span></p>

Challenges and Realities in Asian Elephant Research: A Global Bibliometric Analysis Highlighting Conservation Crises and Collaborative Opportunities

<p><span>The Asian elephant (<em>Elephas maximus</em>), also known as Asiatic elephant is facing a significant decline in its wild populations due to habitat loss, fragmentation and degradation, leading to increased conflicts between humans and elephants. Preserving this iconic species is crucial, prompting researchers to explore various aspects of its biology, behavior, ecology, and conservation efforts. </span><span>In light of the profound importance of this subject</span><span>, this study utilizes a descriptive systematic literature review (SLR) to examine global research trends on Asian elephants. Analyzing a dataset of 1,780 articles spanning from 1914 to 2022, the study reveals a notable increase in publications, particularly since 2000, with 142 articles published in 2022 alone. This research provides a comprehensive overview of advancements in Asian elephant studies, promoting international collaboration and knowledge exchange among researchers. While research from leading scientific countries can aid in conservation efforts, there is a call for more inclusive, participatory and fair approaches. The study demonstrates a commitment to Equity, Inclusion, and Diversity (EID) by adopting a multifaceted approach that considers the needs, perspectives and contributions of diverse stakeholders. By addressing disparities and advocating for social justice within elephant conservation, the study emphasizes the urgent need for collective action in conservation, welfare improvement, conflict resolution, ecosystem balance, and overall enhancement of understanding about Asian elephants. Serving as a valuable resource for policymakers, conservation organizations, and researchers, the study not only synthesizes existing literature but also identifies research gaps, highlights areas requiring immediate attention, and offers collaborative opportunities for global scientists to contribute to the well-being and preservation of this majestic species.</span></p>

Bibliometric dataset: list of highly cited papers in bibliometric

<p><strong>Motivation</strong></p> <p>My motivation in providing this dataset is to invite more interests from Indonesia&#39;s librarian to understand their diverse field of study. &nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Method</strong></p> <p>This dataset is harvested in 19 January 2019 from Scopus database provided by The University of Sydney. I used the keyword &quot;bibliometric&quot; in title, sort the search results by total citation, then download the first 2000 papers as RIS file. This file can be converted to other formats like bibtex or csv using available reference manager, like Zotero.</p> <p><strong>Visualisations</strong></p> <p>I did two small visualisations using the following options:</p> <ol> <li>&quot;create a map based on bibliographic data&quot;</li> <li>&quot;create a map based on text data&quot;</li> </ol> <p>Both mappings are done using <a href="http://vosviewer.com">VosViewer </a>open source app from <a href="https://www.cwts.nl/">CWTS Leiden University</a>.</p>

Urban Air Pollution and Children's Brain Development: A Systematic Bibliometric Review

<p>The dataset for this research was compiled through an advanced PubMed search targeting publications from a one-year period. Keywords focused on air pollution, neurodevelopment, and associated disorders. From an initial pool of 450 publications, filtering based on co-occurrence of relevant keywords reduced this to approximately 50 papers. VOSviewer was employed to analyze co-occurrences and generate a visual map of relationships between air pollution and child neurodevelopment. The thesaurus was applied to standardize terminology, refining the final network for detailed analysis of keyword clusters and their interactions.</p>

Citation count error data for "Data inaccuracy quantification and uncertainty propagation for bibliometric indicators"

<p>This is the original collected data on citation count errors resulting from citation matching errors in Web of Science data for the publication "Data inaccuracy quantification and uncertainty propagation for<br>bibliometric indicators". The first column, <code>CITCOUNT_ALL</code>, gives the total (corrected) citation count for a publication, which is the citation count according to WoS plus the additionally manually identified citations (missed by WoS's algorithm). The second column, <code>CITCOUNT_WOS</code>, is the WoS citation count. The numeric difference between the two column values in one row is the number of additionally manually identified citations.</p>

The title of this study is Mapping the Evolution of Computational Thinking in Education: A Bibliometrics Analysis of Scopus Database from 1987 to 2023.</p> <p>In the online listing of the appendix, we will find three figures (Figure 5, Figure 6, and Figure 12) and three tables (Table 3, Table 4, and Table 4), also several references related to this research. It was important to us that the core of the study that is now being carried out not be diminished in any way, which is why we chose the photos and tables we did. This study was conceived and supported by the Indonesia Endowment Fund for Education (LPDP), which the Ministry of Finance administers in the Republic of Indonesia, to evaluate current trends and research problems in computational thinking for education. Supplemental data for: A bibliometric assessment of the incidence of amyloid-Eszett (Aß), a false positive of amyloid-beta (Aβ), in the neurodegenerative disease literature

<p>One claimed reason for the development of Alzheimer&rsquo;s disease (AD), a prominent neurodegenerative disease, is the extracellular aggregation of amyloid-beta (A&beta;). A linguistic or formatting error has resulted in the misrepresentation of the Greek letter &beta; with the German letter Eszett (&szlig;), resulting in the formation of a non-existent compound, amyloid-Eszett (A&szlig;). These datasets offer a quantified appreciation of the AD-related literature, carrying a mention of this false positive in the title, abstract and keywords of papers indexed in the Web of Science Core Collection and Scopus. Also, as a curiosity given the popularity of this large language model, we asked the questions to ChatGPT. This AI chatbot developed by OpenAI was able to recognize Eszett as a linguistic or typographic error, within this context, recognizing A&szlig; and A&beta; as equals. Infants on the Move: Bibliometric Analyses of Observational versus Digital Means of Screening Infant Development

<p>Datasets, High Resolution Images and Video tutorials for Bibliometric use on neonatal General Movements Assessment</p> <p>Neurodevelopmental disorder diagnoses have increased significantly over the years, though the average age of detection is 4.5 years old. This delay is partly due to reliance on social-communication criteria. These criteria require a level of maturation that takes much longer than scaffolding elements of neuromotor control. Early components of neurodevelopment include early evolution of reflexes, development of interactions between central pattern generators and cortical structures, maturation of intentional movements and their overall sensation. Such elements have been studied in General Movement Assessment (GMA) using observational means, but the last two decades have seen a surge in digital tools (biosensors, video-based pose estimation and algorithms) that permit non-invasive tracking of newborns&rsquo; movements. Despite their importance, these tools are not yet broadly used. In this work, using CiteSpace, VOSViewer and SciMAT software, we investigate the evolution of the literature on GMA and the methods in use today, to estimate how digital techniques are being adopted. To that end, we created maps of key word co-occurrence networks, co-author networks, document co-citation analysis and strategic diagrams of 295 publications based on a search in the Web of Science, Dimensions and SCOPUS databases for: &lsquo;general movement assessment&rsquo; OR &lsquo;general movements assessment&rsquo;. The nodes on the maps were categorized by size, cluster groups and year of publication. We found that the state-of-the-art methodology to diagnose neurodevelopmental disorders still relies heavily on observation. Several groups in classical GMA research have branched out to incorporate new techniques, but few groups have adopted digital means. We report on additional analyses of methods and biosensors usage and propose that combining traditional clinical observation criteria with digital means may allow earlier diagnoses and interventional therapies for infants.</p>

Institutional Collaboration in the US LTER Network based on bibliometric information (1981-2018)

This is a dataset of supplementary materials of an accepted article in Bioscience entitled "Collaboration across time and space in LTER Network". It is based on the bibliography data maintained by LTER Network Office (https://www.zotero.org/groups/2055673/lter_network/items). The analysis was carried out in 2019 with the updated data collecting from individual sites. The dataset contains the basic information that the analysis relies on, and the temporal and spatial patterns of institutional collaboration in the US LTER Network.

<p>This archive contains the accompanying data and source code of our study &#39;Relations Between Relevance Assessments, Bibliometrics and Altmetrics&#39; submitted to <a href="https://sites.google.com/view/bir-ws/bir-2020">BIR 2020</a> @ <a href="https://ecir2020.org/">ECIR 2020</a>. In order to reproduce our study, the iSearch collection is needed. After downloading this archive, place the folders `PF/` and `PN/` in the root directory. The directory `spreadsheets` contains the results of our final evaluation. The required data for these results can be found in the directory `data`, that contains the output of the scripts (in the directory `src`).</p> <p>Abstract:</p> <p>Relevance assessment in retrieval test collections and citations/mentions of scientific documents are two different forms of relevance decisions. To investigate the relations between these direct and indirect forms of relevance decisions, we combine arXiv data with Web of Science and Altmetrics data. In this new collection, we assess the effect of relevance ratings on measured perception in the form of citations or mentions, likes, tweets, et cetera. The impact of our work is that we could show a relation between direct relevance assessments and indirect relevance signals.</p>
