ATUAÇÃO DO ENFERMEIRO NA ATENÇÃO PRIMÁRIA AO PACIENTE PORTADOR DE DIABETES MELLITUS TIPO 2: UMA REVISÃO INTEGRATIVA

<p>A diabetes mellitus (DM) está atrelada a um grupo de distúrbios metabólicos caracterizados por altos níveis de glicose no sangue (hiperglicemia) em razão de anomalias na secreção e/ou ação da insulina. A atenção em Diabetes Mellitus direciona-se para à oferta de intervenções clínicas e educativas baseadas em evidências científicas, que deverão compor o plano de tratamento e contribuir para o alcance de resultados satisfatórios. <strong>Objetivo:</strong>o estudo teve como objetivo geral evidenciar a importância do enfermeiro atuando junto ao paciente com Diabete Mellitus, atrelando sua relevância na prevenção dessa doença. <strong>Método</strong>: Este estudo foi preparado por meio de uma Revisão Integrativa da Literatura de artigos científicos que tem como finalidade o estabelecimento da questão norteadora de pesquisa. A busca de artigos para a construção deste trabalho foi realizada nas seguintes bases de dados: LILACS, MEDLINE, BDENF. <strong>Conclusão: </strong>Conclui-se que o enfermeiro tem um papel vital na promoção da saúde dos pacientes com diabetes mellitus, necessitando de uma visão holística para intervir neste processo de doença.</p>

A IMPORTÂNCIA DO TRATAMENTO RIGOROSO DO DIABETES MELLITUS PARA PREVENÇÃO DA INSUFICIÊNCIA RENAL CRÔNICA

<p>INTRODUÇÃO: O <i>diabetes mellitus </i>(DM) é descrito como uma disfunção no metabolismo que ocasiona quadros contínuos e persistentes de hiperglicemia, devido a uma deficiência na produção de insulina, na sua ação ou em ambos os mecanismos, ocasionando complicações em longo prazo, dentre elas destaca-se a Insuficiência Renal Crônica (IRC). OBJETIVO GERAL: O presente estudo objetivou realizar uma revisão de literatura narrativa sobre a importância do tratamento rigoroso do diabetes mellitus na prevenção da insuficiência renal crônica. METODOLOGIA: Trata-se de uma revisão, cujo intuito foi colher sínteses sobre várias perspectivas da literatura acerca da temática abordada. A pesquisa é construída a partir de uma análise sistemática da literatura relacionada ao tema, reunindo evidências científicas de fontes variadas, incluindo artigos, revistas e instituições tanto nacionais quanto internacionais. CONCLUSÃO: Pacientes com DM têm um risco significativamente maior de desenvolver IRC em comparação com indivíduos sem DM, sendo a progressão da doença um importante fator contribuinte para morbidade e mortalidade em pacientes diabéticos. Portanto, o tratamento rigoroso do DM foi essencial na prevenção da IRC em pacientes diabéticos, bem, como, o rastreio efetivo de potenciais portadores para elaboração de condutas adequadas a fim de evitar complicações.</p>

Raw data for the association of genetic variants of ErbB4 gene and gestational diabetes mellitus

<div>Gestational diabetes (GDM) is one of the common complications of female pregnancy, which seriously affects the health of patients and their offspring. So far, the etiology has not yet been fully clarified. To clarify the relationship of Erb-b2 receptor tyrosine kinase 4 (ErbB4) genetic variants and GDM risk in a Chinese population, ErbB4 variants (rs1595064, rs1595065, rs1595066 and rs6719645) were selected and genotyped in 554 GDM cases and 641 healthy controls. The associations between variants and GDM risk were evaluated with the odds ratios (ORs) and their corresponding 95% confidence intervals (CIs). The false-positive reporting probability (FPRP), multi-factor dimension reduction (MDR) and bioinformatics analysis were adopted to confirm the significant associations. A nomogram model was constructed to predict the risk of GDM. Association analysis demonstrated that the rs1595066 genotype performed a protective effect on GDM risk among whole subjects. Meanwhile, stratified analysis showed that rs1595066 was significantly associated with GDM risk in various subgroups, such as age&gt;30.09 years old, pre-pregnancy BMI&gt;22.23 Kg/m<sup>2</sup> ,SBP≤110.08 mmHg, etc. Further, interactions between rs1595066 and DBP (Pinteraction=0.01), FPG (Pinteraction&lt;0.001) and HbA1c (Pinteraction&lt; 0.001) were detected. The FPRP analysis confirmed that association of rs1595066 and GDM risk in subjects of FPG≤4.79 mmol/L (P=0.199) is true at a prior probability of 0.1. The MDR analysis suggested that rs1595066 was the best single locus model, while the 4-loci model was considered the best multiple factors model to predict GDM risk. Functional prediction revealed that rs1595066 may disturb the microRNA binding sites to influence the stability of miRNA-mRNA binding. The predictive nomogram model has a good consistency and acceptable discriminative ability with a diagnosed AUC of 0.813.ErbB4 rs1595066 was significantly associated with GDM risk and underlying mechanism causing GDM may be the interaction of gene-gene, gene-environment and the changes in the regulatory effects of miRNAs on ERBB4 expression. The nomogram model has a good prospect for GDM prediction.</div>

<p>The dataset contains subjects' basic information, including the Identification number of the test sample, fasting plasma glucose (FPG), oral glucose tolerance test 1h plasma glucose (1hPG), oral glucose tolerance test 2h plasma glucose (2hPG), glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c), Systolic blood pressure (SBP), Diastolic blood pressure (DBP), triglyceride (TG), total cholesterol (TC), High-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-c), Low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-c), and also involves subjects' genetic variant information used for analysis of the association of functional polymorphisms and GDM. The variables including SBP_M, DBP_M, FPG_M, 1hPG_M, 2hPG_M, HbA1c_M, TG_M represent the mean value of SBP, DBP, FPG, 1hPG, 2hPG, HbA1c, TG, which are used for the stratification analysis. This study has obtained the support from the Ethics Committee of Guilin Medical University. All included subjects signed the informed consent.</p>

Medicinal properties of Morus alba for the control of type 2 diabetes mellitus: a systematic review

<p><strong>Background:</strong> the objective of this review was to evaluate the medicinal potential of <em>Morus alba</em> leaves on the control of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (DM2). Research question: what is the medicinal potential of <em>Morus alba</em> leaves in the control of DM2? <strong>Methods:</strong> It was based on the PRISMA Declaration. The included studies were extracted from Scopus, Pubmed, ScienceDirect, Scielo, and Google Scholar; January 2015 to July 2021, Key search terms were MeSH and DeCS: <em>Morus alba</em>, mulberry, hypoglycemic agent. The inclusion criteria were: studies in rats administered <em>Morus alba</em> leaf extracts; studies that included the dimensions of lipidemia and glycemia; studies that included indicators such as fasting glucose, postprandial glucose, glycosylated hemoglobin, triglycerides, low-density lipoproteins, total cholesterol, and insulin resistance. Exclusion criteria: studies in which <em>Morus alba</em> leaves were administered with other plants; studies with other parts of the <em>Morus alba</em> plant; proteomic studies, cancer, duplicate studies, in vitro studies, and evaluation of included studies. All included investigations were evaluated for biases. <strong>Results:</strong> The extracts of <em>Morus alba</em> leaves at the phytochemical level improve glucose uptake. Chlorogenic acid, isoquercitrin, and quercitrin, present in the leaves of <em>Morus alba</em> have hypoglycemic properties and an ameliorating effect on diabetic nephropathy. This leaf has pharmacological effects such as glucose absorption, insulin secretion production, antioxidant and anti-inflammatory agent, antihyperglycemic and antihyperlipidemic activities, and obesity management. <strong>Conclusions:</strong> <em>Morus alba</em> leaves have pharmacological effects on DM2 that include glucose absorption, production of insulin secretion, antioxidant agent, antihyperglycemic and antihyperlipidemic activities, and obesity control. Beyond these results, there is a lack of studies on the potential and synergistic effects of the components of <em>Morus alba</em> leaves, which limit the possibility of a more effective therapy using the leaves of the plant.</p>
