Pompeii - Public Water Fountain 07
This public water fountain was scanned as part of the 2022 Pompeii Water and Sanitation Project field school run by the University of Missouri. The fountain is placed outside I.16.4 and is made of grey peperino. The relief on the spout stone is a simple disc. This fountain is heavily restored - the spout stone was found alongside the fountain, and was only replaced in the last 15 or so years (Late 2000's early 2010's). Pompeii - Public Water Fountain 37

The fountain abuts the Stabian Gate and is made of grey peperino slabs. A drain runs out of the city walls behind it (not in scan). The relief on the spout stone is of a comedy mask or river god. At anyrate, with more fiddling of the various parameters, I'm sure that better results could come through. The present object is generated using all of the defaults except in the compute matches step, where I dialed up the gain to 11 (as it were). Pompeii - VI.8.22 - Mosaic Fountain
This large mosaic fountain is built up against the back wall of a small peristyle in the Casa Della Fontana Grande (VI.8.22). It was scanned as part of the 2022 Pompeii Water and Sanitation Project field school run by the University of Missouri. The facade of the fountain is covered in lavish mosaics bordered by seashells, with a large pool in front. Two marble masks with traces of paint flank the central alcove. In the pool is a pedestal with a small statue - this statue is not original but is a copy of a statue from a neighboring house. Quadriporticus at Pompeii - first pass
This model represents the results of a first pass using the default settings in Regard3d on a series of photographs taken from a balloon. Regard3d crashed while generating the surface. Interestingly, you can see that most of the textures were applied nevertheless. So the surface was generated; it was in the final painting that things broke. Perhaps this was a memory issue on my end. In the centre of the portico you can see quite clearly the edges of one of the photo textures that was not applied. Source: Objaverse 1.0 / Sketchfab
