ENABLE.EU H2020 project dataset and questionnaire from a survey of households on energy use and energy choices
<p>The ZIP archive includes the anonymized micro-data (survey results) and the respective questionnaire from the survey of households in eleven countries, conducted as part of the H2020 project "<a href="http://www.enable-eu.com">Enabling the Energy Union through understanding the drivers of individual and collective energy choices in Europe</a>" (ENABLE.EU). </p> <p>The countries are: Bulgaria, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Norway, Poland, Serbia, Spain, Ukraine, and the United Kingdom.</p> <p>The dataset consists of 11 267 completed questionnaires (cases). </p> <p>The ZIP archive includes the following files:<br> • ENABLE.EU survey questionnaire for households in PDF format;<br> • ENABLE dataset from the survey of households in SAV format for IBM SPSS;<br> • ENABLE dataset from the survey of households in DTA format for STATA (the dataset is produced by simple export from SAV format and could contain some differences due to export limitations; If possible, we recommend to use the SAV-SPSS format);<br> • ENABLE dataset from the survey of households in XLSX format for Microsoft Excel, which includes also corresponding tables for the labels of questions and answers.</p> <p>For more information about the survey methodology and survey results please see: "D4.1 Final report on comparative sociological analysis of the household survey results" under the section <a href="http://www.enable-eu.com/downloads-and-deliverables/">Downloads / Deliverables</a> at the ENABLE.EU web-site. </p>

OMCF questionnaires - Surveying volcanic crises exercises: From open-question questionnaires to a prototype checklist
<p>English / French / Italian / Spanish versions</p> <p>Volcanic crisis exercises are usually run to test response capabilities, communication protocols, and decision-making procedures by those agencies, such as volcano observatories and/or Civil Protection authorities, with responsibilities to cope with scenarios of volcanic unrest with inherent uncertainty. During the last decades, the use of questionnaires has been increased to evaluate people’s knowledge on volcanic hazards and their perception of risk, which could affect their preparedness to respond to emergency measures plans. In this paper, we show the study carried out within the EUROVOLC project in extracting information on the experience gained during volcanic-crisis exercises by the project’s participants and beyond. In particular, we first distributed an open-question questionnaire survey within the EUROVOLC-project community. Based on the results obtained, we developed a more user-friendly online multi-choice questionnaire that we submitted to different volcanological communities within and outside the project. From the answers to the on-line questionnaire, we extracted a prototype checklist for guiding those who design such exercises in the future. Here, we give details on the lessons learnt from this study, in particular about the need to increase training activities, to improve external (between players and general public/media) communication tools, equipment and protocols and to better define decision-makers needs. Our preliminary results confirm that this type of survey is a very useful tool for gathering information on participants' experience and knowledge, and to understand which data and information may be useful when designing exercises for scientists, emergency managers and others involved in a volcanic crisis.</p> <p> </p>
Founding, Running, and Improving Scholarly Journals_Questionnaire Raw Data
<p>This is the raw data set of a questionnaire on founding, running, and improving scholarly journals and the availability of educational material for these purposes. The questionnaire was prepared on the SoSci Survey platform and the raw data downloaded from it. The questionnaire had 93 respondents who were nearly all Editors or Scholarly Publishing Professionals working with academic journals. Service providers pre and post-questionnaires of the 1st and 2nd iteration phase
<p>The dataset contains information on the pre- and post-questionnaires of the service providers of the first and second evaluation period. Each spreadsheet indicates the source of the data (pre or post). The questions are related to the background of the respondents, previous experience, constraints, the service registration tool use and performance, the use of its supportive documentation, learnability, sustainability and maintainability, installability, changeability, effort and usability. Respondents were also asked about the potential of MyCorridor. The column pilot_round (Column CK) indicates whether the questionnaires were completed in the first or second pilot evaluation round.</p>
Traveller pre and post-questionnaires of mainstream and in depth users of the 2nd iteration phase
<p>The dataset contains the travellers’ pre- and post-questionnaires of the second evaluation phase in the MyCorridor project, which was a semi-real-world test. Each spreadsheet indicates the source of the data (pre, post, mainstream or in depth users). The questions are related to easiness to use the app, usefulness of the App, social desirability, attitude towards public transport, sharing modes and general mind sets, perceived accessibility to local transport, perceived accessibility to innovative mobility services and perceived overall trustworthiness, safety and security when using transport services.</p>
A QUESTIONNAIRE FOR THE ASSESSMENT OF VIOLENT BEHAVIORS IN YOUNG COUPLES: THE ITALIAN VERSION OF DATING VIOLENCE QUESTIONNAIRE (DVQ)
<p> In the last years, intimate partner violence (IPV) became a relevant problem for community and for social life, particularly in young people. Its correct assessment and evaluation in the population is mandatory. Our objectives were: Confirm factor structure of Dating Violence Questionnaire (DVQ) and investigate its convergent and divergent validity. The DVQ along with other personality measures were filled by a sample of 418 university students (Females = 310) of average age of 23 y.o. (SD = 4.71). A subsample of participants (223 students) consented in being involved also in retest and filled also the Revised Eysenck Personality Questionnaire (short form) and a brief scale for describing the behavior of the (past) partner after the breaking of the relationship (BRS). The 8-factor structure, with respect to the two other competing models, reported better fit indexes and showed significant correlations with other personality measures. Personality traits, both Neuroticism and Psychoticism, correlated with Sexual Violence, while Detachment correlated only with Neuroticism and Coercion, Humiliation and Physical Violence correlated with only Psychoticism. Extraversion did not report significant relationships with any of the 8 DVQ factors. Also the predictive validity of DVQ was satisfactory with the partner violent reaction to the break of relationship predicted positively predicted by Coercion (b = 0.22) and by Humiliation (b = 0.20) and negatively by Emotional Punishment (b = -0.18). The present results indicate a good factor structure of the questionnaire, and interesting correlations with personality traits, allowing to identify psychological aspects with a predisposing role for anti-social aggressive behaviors. Further studies will be aimed at ascertaining other possible determinants of intimate partner violence and the weight of cultural aspects.</p>

A Questionnaire to Assess the Research Practices and Services Related to the Academic and Research Staff at the Institutions of Higher Education in Palestine - Survey Data
<p>Data generated as part of a needs assessment survey conducted as part of ROMOR, a project funded by the Erasmus Plus Programme of the European Union in the period from October 2016 to October 2019. A questionnaire was prepared under the supervision of Palestinian Universities participating in the project. The results of the study will be used to create and develop institutional repositories to store the digital outputs of scientific research at the institutions of higher education in Palestine. The results will be also used to provide the vocational and academic training, and the institutional policies required to manage, organize the use, and populate the prospective repositories. This objective will contribute in promoting the access to and benefit of the results of scientific research in Palestine, and increase its impact at the local and international levels. This questionnaire was distributed to the representative of each institution, who in turn forwarded it to the suitable persons in the institution. Data was collected between January 4th and February 19th 2017. Paper and electronic versions of a questionnaire were prepared in both Arabic and English. The project coordinators at partner PS HEIs were requested to circulate the electronic questionnaire to all researchers and members of academic staff.
