<p>All of the supplementary material to accompany the 4th year research project 'Examining ray and skate diversity in the Irish Sea using DNA barcodes'. Data includes <em>Cytochrome c oxidase I</em> (COI) sequences generated in this project from <em>Raja </em>specimens, agarose gel electrophoresis images of DNA samples, DNA concentrations of DNA extractions from <em>Raja </em>specimens as well the accession numbers of sequences sourced from GenBank that were used to construct a maximum likelihood tree. </p>

This artifact is a repository consisting of collected dataset including (i) 289,061 threads, (ii) 216,864 extracted links from threads, (iii) 2,170 contributors, and the results of our qualitative analysis, (i) 1,142 manually annotated type of discussion and (ii) 1,142 manually annotated sentiment analysis. Open dataset of 20 interviews with senior service designers and managers for the Empathy Business research project
<p>The aim of the Empathy Business research project (2023-2024) led by the University of Lapland focused on how to digitalize services and business prototyping through creativity. The research named challenges as well as design methods for developing digital tools for meeting the future needs of service design and business development.<br><br>In total, 20 interviews among senior service designers and managers located in Europe, Latin America and Asia were conducted during spring 2023. The interviews provide perspectives related to the future of service design as a practise, the skills required and further issues of relevance for professionals in the field. Based on affinity diagramming eight main clusters were named: Sustainability, Business compatibility, New tools, Designer’s skills, Art-based methods, People in the centre, Online workshops, and Physical workshops.<br><br>This data set includes an anonymized list of the interviewees, affinity diagram post-it notes of the interviews, short descriptions of the main clusters and an internet link to the online affinity diagram on Miro board.<br><br>The materials provided initial insights for developing Proof-of-Concepts for digitized interfaces, such as suitable plugins, 3D-based photorealistic solutions, or an application with the potential to be used in service design and service prototyping contexts as well as in other development processes within and across organizations.</p>

Household Survey in Nairobi (Kibera & Eastleigh) for the "Urban Waterscapes and the Pandemic" research project
<p><strong>"Urban Waterscapes and the Pandemic" research project:</strong> The Covid-19 pandemic has brought to the fore the importance of water access as an essential service protecting human health. Yet, the prevention of human-to-human transmission of the novel virus may be impacted by uneven geographies of water access. The pandemic presented a dilemma in water-deprived urban areas as residents needed to find ways to adapt to new hygiene standards and local Covid-19 responses. Focusing on Nairobi, Kenya’s capital with historically uneven and highly contested geographies of water, we mobilized the concept of waterscapes in order to understand how Nairobi’s waterscapes have changed during the pandemic; how these waterscape changes relate to new requirements; and how far they reflect adaptive creativity or re-produce urban fragmentation. Funded by DFG, the project is a 12-month-long collaboration between IPS, the Department of Urban and Regional Planning at the University of Nairobi, and the British Institute for Eastern Africa.</p> <p><strong>Household survey in Kibera and Eastleigh:</strong> As part of the "Urban Waterscapes and the Pandemic" research project, the project team conducted a household survey in two target areas of Nairobi, namely Kibera and Eastleigh. The survey was conducted in April and May 2022 with the support of 11 enumerators. Spread purposefully over four sub-locations in each target area, the survey included more than 400 respondents per area. The final data set has been quality-checked and cleaned for further analysis; personal details about the respondents and the enumerators that may reveal their identity have been removed.</p>
