Four YSI EXO2 water quality sondes were deployed from May 2023 to October 2023 at four sites in the Plum Island Estuary. One was at the mouth of the sound at the Ipswich Bay Yacht Club, one in the Rowley River, and two in the Parker River. The sondes measured water column temperature, salinity, oxygen, pH, algae, organic matter, turbidity, and depth in 15-minute intervals.

<p>This dataset contains observed monthly and annual salinity (EC) data for surface water (river) respectively groundwater, spatially averaged over sub-basins within the Central Valley, CA and the Murray Darling basin, AU, used for salinity-inclusive water scarcity assessments. The data also includes crop-specific irrigated area, irrigation withdrawals and salinity thresholds and other parameters specified, as well as example codes for analyses related to the manuscript: Thorslund et al., <em>Salinity impacts on irrigation water-scarcity in food bowl regions of the US and Australia.</em></p>
Salinity - water level relationships in shallow lakes: Data
<p>Data consists of water levels and salinity of 159 lakes across southwest Australia, collected as part of the South West Wetlands Monitoring Program (Lane et al., 2017). The data was collected between 1977 and 2019 by staff from the Department of Biodiversity Conservation and Attractions, Western Australia, and its predecessors. </p> <p>Description of files:</p> <p>SiteSummary.xlsx</p> <ul> <li>An Excel file with basic lake descriptions, including names and geographic coordinates. </li> </ul> <p>WaterData.csv</p> <ul> <li>A comma delimited ascii file consisting of a lake identifier, a date of observation, a lake level relative to the deepest bed elevation, the measured salinity (g/L).</li> </ul> <p>Bathymetry.xlsx</p> <ul> <li>An Excel file with bathymetries of a subset of lakes</li> </ul>
Water Temperature, Salinity and other physical measurements taken at Shark River, Everglades National Park (FCE LTER) from February 2010 to March 2014
In early 2010 we established three new permanent water quality monitoring stations in the Shark River Estuary. These stations expanded FCE's spatial coverage in terms of salinity and also established the first continuous dissolved oxygen monitoring in the estuary.
