Code and Data for Transfer Learning for Multi-material Classification of Transition Metal Dichalcogenides with Atomic Force Microscopy

The data consists of atomic force microscopy (AFM) images of metal organic chemical deposition (MOCVD) grown transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs), MoS2, WS2, WSe2, MoSe2, and Mo-WSe2, used for the results reported in the manuscript "Transfer Learning for Multi-material Classification of Transition Metal Dichalcogenides with Atomic Force Microscopy". The TMDs are grown at the Penn State's 2D crystal consortium (2DCC). The raw data is also available on the LiST (https://data.
2dccmip.org/Rut1mMC8u25M). The file names have the format: imageSNo_TMD_sampleLabel_sampleId_set.tif, where SNo, TMD, sampleLabel, sampleId, and set are serial numbers (1, 2, 3, ...), class of TMD (e.g. MoS2, WS2, ...), sample label, sample id, and train or test set, as used in the manuscript. There could be multiple images from the same samples (taken from the center, edges, etc, of wafer). Images from the same sample have the same sample label and sample id. In using the data, it is recommended that the same sample is not present in more than one data set to avoid data leakage. Additionally, github_static consists of the codes used to generate the results reported in the manuscript.

Dataset for "Precise Structure and Energy of Group 6 Transition Metal Dichalcogenide Homo- and Heterobilayers in High-Symmetry Configurations"

The data that support the findings of "Precise Structure and Energy of Group 6 Transition Metal Dichalcogenide Homo- and Heterobilayers in High-Symmetry Configurations".

Dataset for "Relaxation effects in transition metal dichalcogenide bilayer heterostructures"

This repository hosts the dataset associated with the study on twisted transition metal dichalcogenide (TMDC) heterostructures, as described in the publication: Li, W., Brumme, T. & Heine, T. Relaxation effects in transition metal dichalcogenide bilayer heterostructures. npj 2D Mater Appl 8, 43 (2024). https://doi.org/10.1038/s41699-024-00477-6

The dataset contains both the input parameters and output data generated from simulations carried out using the LAMMPS software package. Researchers are encouraged to utilize this dataset to further the understanding of TMDC heterostructures and to replicate or extend the findings of the referenced study.

Conditions for electronic hybridization between transition-metal dichalcogenide monolayers and physisorbed carbon-conjugated molecules

We provide the numerical data for the projected unit cell band structures of the four TMDCs; for the hybrid systems, we include in- and output files of the geometry optimizations as well as the band structure calculations, together with the post-processed final band energies and spectral weights; for the isolated molecules, we provide the data files of relevant orbitals mapped to the Brillouin zone in conjunction with a python script for visualization

Data and code for "High-throughput characterization of transition metal dichalcogenide alloys: Thermodynamic stability and electronic band alignment"

This record contains data that support the following publication:

High-Throughput Characterization of Transition Metal Dichalcogenide Alloys: Thermodynamic Stability and Electronic Band Alignment
by C. Linderälv, J. M. Rahm, and P. Erhart, Chemistry of Materials 34, 9364 (2022)

The databases directory contains ASE databases in sqlite format with the results of density functional theory (DFT) calculations, which were used for constructing cluster expansion (CE) models using the icet package.

The ces directory contains CE models in icet format.

The example-*.py scripts provide very simple demonstrations for how the databases and CE models can be accessed.
