Statistical downscaling of significant wave height: data
<p>The cfsr file contains the Climate Forecast System Reanalysis wind data over the North Atlantic and homere contains the Homere sea state data at a location in the Bay of Biscay (latitude=25.4N, longitude=1.6W). data_prep contains the processed data, which are used to run the statistical downscaling model.</p> <p>All files are in RDS format ( R data Serialization). </p>

Wave heights obtained from sea surface and bottom measurements
<p>Generally, the pressure response function of the most commonly used linear wave theory may not perfectly recover surface elevation signals. To solve this, field measurements were carried out to collect wave parameters at five observation stations, characterized by shallow to deep water environments. The data was uploaded to explain and solve this problem.</p>

Wave Height and Wind Speed
<p>This data is a product of the South China Sea multi-nested wave model. The South China Sea multi-nested wave model is based on the third-generation wave model WW3, which uses the latest wind stress calculation scheme to improve the model's forecasting effect on wind and waves generated by different wind speeds and changing wind fields. The model can provide hourly forecasts, including wind speed and wind waves, with a spatial resolution of up to 1/40°*1/40°.</p>
