Indoor climate projections at 90 workplaces in the Upper Rhine Valley modelled by artificial neural networks
<p>The uploaded files contain the modelled indoor temperature (Ti) and physiologically equivalent temperature (PETi) data at 90 different workplaces in the Upper Rhine Valley, presented in the article "Climate projections of human thermal comfort for indoor workplaces" by Sulzer and Christen (2024), <a href="https://doi.org/10.1007/s10584-024-03685-7">https://doi.org/10.1007/s10584-024-03685-7</a>. The different csv files contain metadata to the different workplaces, the training data recorded in 2021 and 2022, the modelled data for the historical time period 1970-1999 using ERA5-Land data as input data, and for the future time period 2070-2099 using 22 different climate projections as input data. </p> <p>In the file <a href="../api/records/8229253/draft/files/Workplaces_training_2021-2022.csv/content" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Workplaces_training_2021-2022.csv</a> you can find the measured data at the workplaces used for training of the models and in <a href="../api/records/8229253/draft/files/Workplaces_metadata.csv/content" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Workplaces_metadata.csv</a> you can find some metadata about each workplace.</p> <p> </p>

<p>Contains the supplementary material for the paper "Design Recommendations for Self-Monitoring in the Workplace: Studies in Software Development" submitted to CSCW'18. All contents are explained in the file README.txt.</p> <p><strong>Abstract:</strong><br> One way to improve the productivity of knowledge workers is to increase their self-awareness about productivity at work through self-monitoring. Yet, little is known about expectations of, the experience with and the impact of self-monitoring in the workplace. To address this gap, we studied software developers, as one community of knowledge workers. We used an iterative, feedback-driven development approach (N=20) and a survey (N=413) to infer design elements for workplace self-monitoring, which we then implemented as a technology probe called WorkAnalytics. We field-tested these design elements during a three-week study with software development professionals (N=43). Based on the results of the field study, we present design recommendations for self-monitoring in the workplace, such as using experience sampling to increase the awareness about work and to create richer insights, the need for a large variety of different metrics to retrospect about work, and that actionable insights, enriched with benchmarking data from co-workers, are likely needed to foster productive behavior change at work.</p> <p><strong>Source Code:</strong></p> <p>The source code of WorkAnalytics can be found on <strong><a href="https://github.com/sealuzh/PersonalAnalytics">GitHub</a></strong> (under the original name PersonalAnalytics). WorkAnalytics was built with Microsoft's Dot.Net framework in C# and can be used on the Windows 7, 8 and 10 operating system.</p>
Locus of control, Moral Competence, Job Satisfaction and Unethical Workplace Behaviors
<p><span>From the Causal Reasoning Model of Counterproductive Work behaviors, unethical workplace behaviors are a function of cognitive processes. Organizations cannot effectively prevent unethical employee behaviors without knowledge of cognitive antecedents of such behaviors. Towards this end, this dataset focuses on some of the cognitive variables that might play a role in unethical workplace behavior. The data specifically focuses on the facets of locus of control (LOC), moral potency, job satisfaction, and counterproductive work behavior. The data shows that job satisfaction mediates the negative effects of both internal and external LOC on counterproductive work behavior. Moral potency seems to strengthen the negative effects of internal LOC and buffers against the positive effects of facets of external LOC on counterproductive work behavior. </span></p> <p><span>The resulting paper is under consideration for publication in the journal of International Journal of Applied Positive Psychology. </span></p>
