Noise exposure at ultrasound-related industrial workplaces and public sites
<p>The dataset contains single measurements at different public sites and workplaces in Europe. The data has been used or obtained in the context of the project 15HLT03 “EarsII” from the EMPIR-programme.</p> <p>For each measurement metadata is available. This includes the measurement circumstances and involved machinery, a description of the measurement location and noise reduction measures, the microphone position during measurement, and the measurement procedure used to obtain the measurement data.</p> <p>A detailed description of all the quantities contained in the dataset is documented in the accompanying pdf-file.</p>
First release of Illinois Workplace Wellness Study data
<p>This is the first release of public use data for the Illinois Workplace Wellness Study. The release includes online survey data as well as administrative data on health insurance claims, employment outcomes, program participation, and health behaviors. Synthetic Dataset of charging processes by electric vehicles at workplace in Germany
<p>The dataset shows eight cluster groups that depict the mobility behavior of electric vehicle users in the employee context. For this purpose, 23.9 million data entries were analyzed, corresponding to 37,238 charging sessions. These data were collected over the year 2023. The 220 charging points were exclusively accessible to employees (private use case). From the data, cluster groups were derived using the Gaussian Mixture Model, and a synthetic dataset was generated through Monte Carlo sampling.</p> <p><span>The dataset consists of 8000 synthetic profiles, offering a robust scientific basis. By retaining the same statistical attributes as the empirical data, the synthetic profiles represent eight different mobility clusters, each containing 1000 entries, including full-time and part-time employees, shift workers, pool vehicle users, and opportunists.</span> Each cluster is represented by the mean parking start hours (arrival time - in decimal hours), mean parking duration (in decimal hours), the average energy recharged, and the average charging duration, each including the cluster-specific standard deviation and median.</p> <p>Further information can be obtained from the upcoming publication: "Synthetic Dataset of charging processes by electric vehicles at workplace in Germany."</p>

Infection safe workplace IoT sensor measurements
<p>This dataset has been collected and created by "Datu Tehnoloģiju Grupa" and Riga Technical University. This dataset contains data collected from IoT devices scattered in the office workplace. The measurements have been collected in a .csv file, with 150000 records. Project “Platform for the Covid-19 safe work environment” (ID. 1.1.1.1/21/A/011) is founded by European Regional Development Fund specific objective 1.1.1 «Improve research and innovation capacity and the ability of Latvian research institutions to attract external funding, by investing in human capital and infra-structure». The project is co-financed by REACT-EU funding for mitigating the consequences of the pan-demic crisis.</p>

<p>Contains the supplementary material for the paper "Design Recommendations for Self-Monitoring in the Workplace: Studies in Software Development" submitted to CSCW'18. All contents are explained in the file README.txt.</p> <p>Abstract:<br> One way to improve the productivity of knowledge workers is to increase their self-awareness about productivity at work through self-monitoring. Yet, little is known about expectations of, the experience with and the impact of self-monitoring in the workplace. To address this gap, we studied software developers, as one community of knowledge workers. We used an iterative, feedback-driven development approach (N=20) and a survey (N=413) to infer design elements for workplace self-monitoring, which we then implemented as a technology probe called WorkAnalytics. We field-tested these design elements during a three-week study with software development professionals (N=43). Based on the results of the field study, we present design recommendations for self-monitoring in the workplace, such as using experience sampling to increase the awareness about work and to create richer insights, the need for a large variety of different metrics to retrospect about work, and that actionable insights, enriched with benchmarking data from co-workers, are likely needed to foster productive behavior change at work.</p>

Two environments were considered when collecting data for the project - work and home environments. The data contains survey responses to a number of questions which measure consumer engagement in sustainable consumption at home, consumer engagement in sustainable consumption at work, two dimensions of moral identity and offers demographic data about the respondents. </p>
The Practical Value of Information Literacy in the Workplace
<p>This video was produced for an information literacy course at the University of Ottawa's École School of Information Studies (ÉSIS). It is shared as an open education resource to be (re)used to teach viewers about the value of information literacy in the workplace. The video aims to briefly outline workplace literacy expectations for novice job seekers wanting to increase their employability. The video’s objective is to make (under)graduate students aware of the key information literacy skills that employers are looking for in new hires, and provide some suggested resources to improve or acquire these skills. The video is meant to be a starting point to build on students' awareness of information literacy skills and how these skills will be valuable in the workplace. Workplace humor, compassion and professional quality of life among medical staff
<p>The aim of this study is to identify the relation between workplace humor and professional quality of life among medical staff, as well as the moderating role of compassion in this relation. The sample consisted of 189 medical staff (<em>M</em>age = 41.01; <em>SD</em> = 9.58). The results showed that self-enhancing and affiliative humor are positively related, while self-defeating humor is negatively related to compassion satisfaction. Burnout and secondary traumatic stress are negatively related to self-enhancing humor and positively related to self-defeating humor. Compassion moderates the relationship between affiliate humor and secondary traumatic stress. The practical implications of these results are discussed. </p>
Workplace bullying and insomnia
<p>We analyze short (diary) and medium-term (monthly) associations of workplace bullying with insomnia through depression rumination with two different study designs. We also address how this situation may affect the partner’s sleep problems. In the first dataset (daily diary) we used a diary design and collected data from 147 employees over 5 consecutive working days (N= 735 occasions). The second dataset (monthly) we used a longitudinal design and collected data among 139 couples (N= 278 employees) over 4 waves, time lag of two months (N= 1112 occasions). </p>
