Heiligie Dionisius - Gemert, Netherlands

Vleegels!" GeoVectors-Netherlands-tags (v1.0)

<p><strong>Description</strong></p> <p>The GeoVectors corpus is a comprehensive large-scale linked open corpus of OpenStreetMap (https://www.openstreetmap.org/) entity embeddings that provides latent representations of over 980 million entities. The GeoVectors capture the semantic and geographic similarities of OpenStreetMap entities and make them directly accessible to machine learning applications. The &quot;-tags&quot; datasets provide embeddings that capture the semantic similarities of OpenStreetMap entities. The &quot;-location&quot; datasets provide the geographic similarities.</p> <p><strong>Contents</strong></p> <p>This dataset was derived from an OpenStreetMap snapshot that was taken on November 10,&nbsp;2020 (&copy; OpenStreetMap contributors).</p> <p>We provide the GeoVectors in region-specific subsets. This subset contains tag-embeddings for the region &quot;Netherlands&quot; including the following countries:</p> <ul> <li>Netherlands</li> </ul> <p><strong>File format</strong></p> <p>The embeddings are provided in the tab-separated values&nbsp;(tsv) format. Each row contains the embedding of a single OpenStreetMap entity. The first column contains the OpenStreetMap type and the second column contains the OpenStreetMap id of the respective entity. The type can either be node (n), way (w), or relation (r). The remaining columns represent the dimensions of the embedding space. (See also header.tsv)</p> <p><strong>Further information:</strong></p> <p>For further information, please visit&nbsp;<a href="http://geovectors.l3s.uni-hannover.de">http://geovectors.l3s.uni-hannover.de</a></p> <p><strong>Funding</strong>:</p> <p>This work was partially funded by DFG, German Research Foundation (&ldquo;WorldKG&quot;, DE 2299/2-1), the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), Germany (&ldquo;Simple-ML&quot;, 01IS18054), the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi), Germany (&ldquo;d-E-mand&quot;, 01ME19009B), and the European Commission (EU H2020, &ldquo;smashHit&quot;, grant-ID 871477).</p>

Data from: Risk of potential pesticide use to honeybee and bumblebee survival and distribution: a country-wide analysis for The Netherlands

Aim: Bees play an important role in natural ecosystems and the world's food supply. In the past decades, bee abundance and diversity have declined globally. This has resulted in decreased pollination services for natural ecosystems and the agricultural sector at the field scale. One of the causes of the decline in bee abundance and diversity is the use of pesticides. Linking pesticide use, land use and bee presence could provide crucial insights into areas and pesticides that pose a significant threat to the abundance and diversity of bees. Obtaining actual figures of farmer pesticide use is rarely possible. Therefore, we designed a method to study the effects of potential pesticide use on the survival and distribution of honey- and bumblebees. Location: The Netherlands. Methods: A pesticide risk model was implemented incorporating a hazard quotient as the risk assessment. The number of allowed pesticide active ingredients per crop that could pose a risk to honeybees and bumblebees were linked to the Dutch crop parcel locations for 2015 and 2016. The potential pesticide risk maps were analyzed using honeybee colony survival and bumblebee presence data. Results: Non-significant negative effects of potential pesticide risk on honeybee colony survival and bumblebee presence were found. A significant negative effect of greenhouses was identified for both honeybees and bumblebees. The most important factors in the models predicting honeybee colony survival and bumblebee presence were urban land areas and natural grasslands respectively, both showing a positive effect. Main conclusions: Here, the first attempt to estimate and map pesticide risk to bees in the Netherlands in a country-wide manner is presented. The results could provide crucial high-resolution insights for bee conservation action and facilitate the increase of pollination services in natural ecosystems and the agricultural sector on a local and country-wide scale.

Observations of molecular hydrogen (H2) mixing ratio and stable isotopic composition (deuterium content) at the Cabauw tall tower in the Netherlands

<p>This zip file contains the final corrected data that were used for the journal article "Observations of molecular hydrogen mixing ratio and stable isotopic composition at the Cabauw tall tower in the Netherlands" by Batenburg et al., Atmospheric Environment, 2016, doi:10.1016/j.atmosenv.2016.09.058<br>  <br> Please cite the original AtmosEnv article when using these data.<br> The paper also contains more information about how these data were collected and calibrated, and on how the quality control flags were assigned.</p> <p>All samples were collected at the Cabauw tower, at the CESAR site (51.971° N, 4.927° E, http://www.cesar-observatory.nl/).<br> H2 and deltaD(H2) are calibrated using one to four laboratory reference air cylinders, depending on measurement period.<br> The H2 mixing ratio of the reference cylinders was determined by UHEI-IUP, MPI-BGC, or the IMAU isotope laboratory.<br> The deltaD(H2) of the reference cylinders is, sometimes indirectly,  linked to the VSMOW scale by measurements of air mixtures containing H2 standards of known isotopic composition.<br> H2 scale: MPI2009, Jordan and Steinberg, AMT, 2011, doi:10.5194/amt-4-509-2011<br> deltaD(H2) units: permil deviation from VSMOW, Gonfiantini et al., IAEA-TECDOC-825, IAEA</p> <p>Times are UTC. </p> <p><br> The corresponding author can be reached through annekebatenburg@gmail.com for questions.</p>
