State-of-the-art evolution models for single, binary and magnetic massive stars

The Universe is threaded by magnetic fields on all scales, from planetary systems to galaxy clusters. In massive stars, they play a pivotal and multifaceted role. They are thought to be crucial in transporting angular momentum throughout the stellar interior and maintaining the overall angular-momentum budget. They may also contribute to chemical mixing, can interact with convective fluid motions and may give rise to distinct seismic signatures. For example, the spin rates of white dwarfs, neutron stars and black holes are strongly determined by the coupling of a star’s core to its envelope. In this talk, I will discuss recent progress in our understanding of how magnetic fields affect single and binary stars, and what are possible origins of the different types of magnetic fields in massive stars. In particular, I will highlight connections to observations and how these can be used to further our understanding of how magnetic fields influence the evolution and final fates of stars.

Selection of Wikidata works of art

The dataset contains a selection of works of art stored in Wikidata. It has been extracted via Wikidata API with action "wbgetentities"in date 01/05/2022.

The dataset comprises literary productions, visual artworks, cultural sites, operatic works, performing arts, journals etc. We semiautomatically surveyed the existing Wikidata subclasses of work of art and removed all elements belonging to music and cinematographic domains as well as statistical rumor.

In total, the dataset contains 2'156'363 works of art (wikidata entities) described by 18'924'333 statements and belonging to 6'612 selected classes. The dataset is stored in a zip folder organised in 10'782 json files, each storing 200 entities and their metadata.

A descrição dessa planilha é a seguinte:

Data and results of "Retractions in Arts and Humanities: an analysis of the retraction notices"

This repository contains the datasets and visualizations generated in our work: "Retractions in Arts and Humanities: an analysis of the retraction notices".

Note: the data are all contained inside the data.zip file. You need to unzip the container to get access to all the files and directories listed below.

Metadata

The directory metadata/ contains a CSV with the citation count of all the retracted papers we have considered. Metadata retrieved from Retraction Watch cannot be published in this repository due to copy rights issues.

Content analysis

We run a topic modeling analysis on the content of the retraction notices. The topic modeling analysis has been done using MITAO, a tool for mashing up automatic text analysis tools and creating a completely customizable visual workflow [1]. The topic modeling data and results are separated into the following directories/files:

workflow/ contains the workflow used in MITAO.

datasets_and_views/: the datasets and visualizations generated using MITAO.

ldamodel_corpus_dict/: it contains the dictionary, the LDA topic model, and the tokenized and vectorized corpus.

rawdata/: the textual collection, metadata, and stopwords used as input in the workflow of MITAO

References

[1] Ferri, P., Heibi, I., Pareschi, L., & Peroni, S.
