Atomic Force Microscopy data of Poly-3-hydroxybutarate and Poly-3-hydroxyvalerate films
<p>This dataset consists of atomic force microscopy (AFM) scans of <em><strong>Polyhydroxyalkanoate</strong></em> films in text (.txt) format as well as their corresponding previews in (.png) format. </p> <p>The surfaces of <strong><em>Poly-3-hydroxybutarate (P3HB [100%])</em></strong> and <em><strong>Poly-3-hydroxyvalerate (P3HB-co-P3HV) [90% :10%]) </strong></em>of six film thicknesses, three scan sizes (5µm, 10µm and 30µm) and three unique scan areas have been scanned with AFM equipment from NT-MDT spectrum instruments.</p> <p>This dataset has been used in the work <a href="../doi/10.5281/zenodo.10621269" target="_blank" rel="noopener">10.5281/zenodo.10621269</a> within which the scan data has been divided into multiple sub-pools for experimentation. Bandgap Pressure Coefficient of a CH3NH3PbI3 Thin Film Perovskite
<p>This work shows experimental and theoretical studies of the pressure-induced evolution of the electronic structure of the orthogonal phase (OP) of MAPbI3. We have shown that the bandgap of the MAPbI3 in OP can be tuned in a broader range of pressure (≲3.5 GPa) when compared to the tetragonal phase (TP), in which a red-shift of PL peak is observed only up to ∼0.3 GPa. Such behavior results from the better stability of the crystal lattice against octahedral distortions in the low-temperature regime due to the reduced phonon contribution and different Pb−I bond geometry. We found the pressure coefficient of the OP to be negative and dependent on the temperature. A negative deformation potential results from the antibonding character of the bottom of the conduction band and the top of the valence band, while dependence on the temperature can be explained by changes in the unit cell volume and geometry as the atomic configuration approaches the temperature-induced phase transition as well as phonon contribution. On the whole, our results advance the understanding of the behavior of the low-temperature MAPbI3 phase under extreme conditions and show that hydrostatic pressure allows fine-tuning of structural and optical properties, resulting in the possibility of realizing materials with the desired properties for technological applications.</p>

<p>We uploaded two datasets on the response of terrestrial crustacean Porcellio scaber and the mealworm Tenebrio molitor to agricultural microplastics exposed in soil for 3 weeks and 4 weeks, respectively. </p> <p>a) <strong>Dataset</strong> "Response of the terrestrial crustacean Porcellio scaber to agricultural microplastics in soil" contains data on: electron transfer system activity, haemocyte viability, and share of hyalinocytes, semigranulocytes and granulocytes in haemolymph. </p> <p>b) <strong>Dataset</strong> "Response of the mealworm Tenebrio molitor to agricultural microplastics in soil" contains data on: larval moult and growth and animal survival </p> <p>These datasets are linked to publication entitled: Response of the terrestrial crustacean Porcellio scaber and the mealworm Tenebrio molitor to agricultural microplastics exposure: comparison of nondegradable and biodegradable fossil-based mulching films. Figure 4 reveals the number of earthworm species recorded in the different habitats during August 2016 – July 2017. The highest number of species (7) was recorded in the residential areas, the least in grassland habitat (4). The number of genera recorded was also highest in the residential areas (5), followed by bank of water bodies (3) and the lowest in grassland (2). The Shannon-Wiener Diversity Index (Shannon H' Log Base 10) value was also the highest in the residential areas (0.832), followed by the bank of water bodies (0.692), while the lowest (0.527) was recorded in grassland habitat (Figure 5). Filming the sound: Anomaly Detection on Audio Tape Recordings using Computer Vision Algorithms
<p>This repository makes available the dataset related to the paper:</p> <p>Zafer Çınar, Alessandro Russo, Matteo Spanio, Niccolò Pretto, and Sergio Canazza, <em>Filming the Sound: Anomaly Detection on Audio Tape Recordings using Computer Vision Algorithms</em>, IAI4CH, Bozen, 2024.</p> <p>The dataset and the experiment are described in the publication above.</p> <p>This repository contains two main directories (<strong>bold</strong> indicates directory names):</p> <ul> <li><strong>video samples</strong>: the actual videos used in the paper's experiment. This folder contains four subdirectories - 3.75 ips, 7.5 ips, 15 ips, and 30 ips - each representing a different playback speed (in inches per second). Within each subdirectory are several MP4 files, recorded on an A810 Studer open reel recorder, documenting the playback of magnetic audio tapes. The files follow the naming convention “Xips (Y).mp4,” where <em>X</em> represents the tape playback speed and <em>Y</em> is a serial number identifier for each video.</li> <li><strong>irregularities</strong>: the metadata for each video with timestamp and type of irregularity. The folder includes four CSV files - 3.75.csv, 7.5.csv, 15.csv, and 30.csv - corresponding to the playback speeds of the video samples. Titanium dioxide (TiO2) thin films study, deposited by laser ablation on glass substrates in the form of prismatic figures type pyramidal
<p>Thin films are something that is very close to the atomic dimensions in thickness, therefore if it is possible to further reduce the width of these, in a controlled way and monitor the behavior of some physical law associated with the variation in thickness, the results can be as expected or maybe adjustments must be applied. For this reason in this work, thin films of titanium dioxide (TiO2) are studied, deposited by laser ablation, on glass substrates in the form of prismatic figures. The main objective was to confine the plasma plume to produce a continuous trail with varying thicknesses that could be analyzed. Growth times of the films were 5, 10, 15, 20 and 30 minutes at room temperature in a low vacuum. The deposited films presented a color pattern related to the expected thickness variation, thus the theory of optical interference was applied to the continuous trace to calculate thicknesses. Characterization process was carried out by: X-ray diffraction to know the crystalline structure of the films, ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy to verify the variation of thicknesses, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy to know the composition and scanning electron microscopy, to measure the thicknesses of the films transversely.</p>
