'Kirriemuir 4' Pictish sculptured stone
800 - 900 A.D K1999.354 The figure depicted here is presumably from the back panel of a cross-slab. A robed angel fills the panel, its wings are stylistically shown drooping by its sides. A key pattern decorates the hem of the robe and border to the right. Due to the fragile nature of sandstone, most of the other side has flaked off over time. Carved knotwork on the side panel is all that remains. Scan of the front face only. On display at the Meffan Art Gallery & Museum Angus Council Collections managed by ANGUSalive Museums, Galleries & Archives Source: Objaverse 1.0 / Sketchfab
