G in Diversity and Distribution of the Amphibians and Terrestrial Reptiles of Angola Atlas of Historical and Bibliographic Records (1840-2017)

G. multilineatus, the type series of which was destroyed by fire in the Museu Bocage (Broadley 2007). Griffin (2003) reassessed and recognized the nomen G. auritus as a valid species (Bates et al. 2014) as did Broadley and Cotterill (2004) and Broadley (2007). According to Bates et al. (2013), G. auritus appears to be closely related to G. nigrolineatus, but they are morphologically distinguishable (Broadley 2007). MAP 187. Distribution of Gerrhosaurus auritus in Angola.
