Doppler lidar wind profiles from Granada

This is data set includes Doppler wind lidar quantities which were calculated from measurements performed between 2016 and 2020 at Andalusian Global Observatory of the Atmosphere, AGORA, in particular, at the UGR station, Andalusian Institute for Earth System Research (IISTA-CEAMA) in Granada, Spain (37.16ºN, 3.61ºW, 680 m a.s.l.).

The system is a Doppler lidar Stream Line (Halo Photonics), which is part of ACTRIS-Cloudnet (Illingworth et al., 2007). The system laser emits at 1.5 μm and the detector is heterodyne using fiber-optic technology. The measurements for this data set consisted of conical scans with constant elevation of 75° and 12 equidistant azimuth points performed every 10 min. A more detailed description of the instrument can be found in (Ortiz-Amezcua et al., 2022)

Assessing suspended sediment fluxes with acoustic doppler current profilers: case study from large rivers in Russia

The dataset contains measurements of water discharge by Teledyne RDInstruments RioGrande WorkHorse ADCP unit with a working frequency of 600kHz mounted on a moving boat in 6 areas over large rivers of Russia. The dataset comprises the four largest Arctic Siberian rivers and included continuous ADCP measurements done in 2018-2020 at constant crossection at each river located upper from the impact of recipient seas (tides, surges) near the cities of Salekhard (Ob River), Igarka (Yenisey River), Zhigansk (Lena river) and Chersky (Kolyma River). Another area includes ADCP measurements over 20 transects (named S1…S26, fig. 2) in the lower 200 km of the river Selenga on 27-31July 2018. Additionally, the dataset contains ADCP measurements at 38 points along the Moskva River (named M1, M2…) and 17 tributaries (named T01, T02…) done during 2019-2020.

This is a supporting material to a manuscript submitted to «Big Earth Data» journal

Guaranteed Publisher/Subscriber Anonymity with Interest Profiles for Smart Cities Applications: Trends and Gaps

Studies carried out in the context of anonymous Publisher/Subscriber (MQTT protocol) and with a profile of interest, are topics that the literature and the IoT (Internet of Things) industry face to implement models, architecture and architectural patterns, mainly related to anonymity, and the profile of interest there is nothing in literature or industry. In this way, the creation of an architecture based on these themes can facilitate the communication of IoT devices in smart cities. Therefore, this article aims to identify in the literature/industry how to guarantee the anonymity of Publisher/Subscriber with interest profiles using the MQTT protocol, and as future works to create an architecture based on the theme so that it can be used by academia and industry. IoT. The search string returned 291 (Two hundred and Ninety-One) works, of which 4 (Four) were selected according to the criteria of the Systematic Literature Review.

Global characterization of the ocean's internal gravity wave vertical wavenumber spectrum from Argo float profiles

Oceanic internal gravity wave energy levels E (m^2/s^2), vertical wavenumber spectral slopes s, and vertical wavenumber scale m* (1/m) estimated by fitting the Garrett Munk model vertical wavenumber shape function to strain spectra obtained from Argo float hydrographic profiles based on the finestructure method, as discussed in Pollmann (2020): "Global Characterization of the Ocean’s Internal Wave Spectrum" (Journal of Physical Oceanography 50.7: 1871-1891). The paper and hence this dataset are a contribution to the Collaborative Research Centre TRR181 ‘Energy Transfers in Atmosphere and Ocean’ funded by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG, German Research Foundation)—Projektnummer 274762653. The hydrographic profiles used in this study were collected and made freely available by the International Argo Program and the national programs that contribute to it (http://www.argo.ucsd.edu, http://argo.jcommops.org). The Argo Program is part of the Global Ocean Observing System.

Please cite Pollmann (2020) when using this dataset.

This dataset includes:

a) energy density (m^2/s^2) binned into 1°x1° horizontal bins and averaged into 3 depth bins (300-500 m, 500-1000 m, 1000-2000 m)

b) vertical wavenumber spectral slopes binned into 1°x1° horizontal bins and averaged into 3 depth bins (300-500 m, 500-1000 m, 1000-2000 m)

c) vertical wavenumber scale m* (1/m) binned into 1°x1° horizontal bins and averaged into 3 depth bins (300-500 m, 500-1000 m, 1000-2000 m)

d) latitude and longitude, defined such that, e.g., E(10,10) represents energy levels in the bin bounded by lat(10), lat(11) as well as lon(10), lon(11)
