Carranque Islamic Inscription 2
Inscription in Arabic located in the Archaeological Park of Carranque (Toledo, Spain). The inscription was made by reusing a large Roman marble column that was carved from a single block of stone. Everything seems to indicate that the marble to carve the column comes from the Eastern Mediterranean. The inscription could be referring to the owner of the column in Islamic times. 3D model made using 52 images in Reality Capture with additional processing in Geomagic Wrap and InstantMeshes. Fallowfield Fell Roman Inscription
Quick 2.5D model from just 3 photos of inscribed rock from Roman Quarry at Fallowfield Fell, now outside Chesters Museum. There is an illustration of the inscription as it was *in situ* at Written Crag, Fallowfield [here](https://www.flickr.com/photos/thearmaturapress/5852219651) Quarry Inscription of Flavius Carantinus [RIB 1442](https://romaninscriptionsofbritain.org/inscriptions/1442) > *Petra Flavi Carantini: The rock of Flavius Carantinus.* > Above the right-hand end of the inscription is a phallus, apparently cut by Carantinus. In comparatively recent times the rock broke away at the beginning, leaving only part of p in petra. A secondary p was cut on the new surface with a modern chisel, identical with that used by the nineteenth-century workman, A. L. Henderson, who in 1885 carved his own name above the Roman text Source: Objaverse 1.0 / Sketchfab
Cypriot Statue with Inscription
Limestone male figurine ([GR.239.1888](https://data.fitzmuseum.cam.ac.uk/id/object/66385)) with mantle and inscription found in Amargetti Cyprus, dating from 300 B.C. — 201 B.C. The statue is schematically-carved with an important dedicatory inscription engraved at the back referring to a dedication on behalf of [...] to Opaon Melanthios, a god of the shepherds. This god is often identified with the god Pan, who had a sanctuary at Amargetti in the Paphos District of Cyprus, where this statue was found. This 3D model was made as part of the [#CEEF3D project](http://creative-economy.fitzmuseum.cam.ac.uk/) at the Fitzwilliam Museum, in connection to [Being an Islander: Art and Identity of the large Mediterranean Islands](http://www.fitzmuseum.cam.ac.uk/being-islander-art-and-identity-large-mediterranean-islands).
