ASTEROID LIGHTCURVE DERIVED DATA V9.0
This is a compilation of published rotational parameters derived from lightcurve data for asteroids, through March 2007. In addition to reported rotational parameters by individual paper, there is a summary file with the values adopted by Harris, Warner, and Pravec as the most likely correct values for each asteroid. The data set also contains files listing known rotational information on asteroids with ambiguous periods, binary asteroids, 'tumbling' asteroids, and asteroids with measured spin axes.
BUS-DEMEO ASTEROID TAXONOMY V1.0
The Bus-DeMeo asteroid taxonomy classification system, described in DeMeo et al. (2009), is based on reflectance spectrum characteristics for 371 asteroids measured over the wavelength 0.45 to 2.45 microns. This system of 24 classes is constructed using principal component analysis, following most closely the visible wavelength taxonomy of Bus (1999), which itself builds upon the system of Tholen (1984). Nearly all of the Bus taxonomy classes are preserved, with one new class (Sv) defined. This data set includes a table of classifications in the Bus-DeMeo system for the 371 asteroids upon which the system is based. It also includes mean spectra for each of the classes.
ASTEROID FAMILY IDENTIFICATIONS V1.0
This is a compilation of the family memberships of numbered asteroids in five different asteroid family analyses. These include the analyses of Zappala et al., Williams, Kozai, Carusi and Massaro, and Hirayama.
RIVKIN THREE MICRON ASTEROID DATA V3.0
This data set is a collection of 3-micron spectra of 33 asteroids and Phobos and Deimos obtained by Andy Rivkin and collaborators. Nearly all these data have been published.
ASTEROID LIGHTCURVE DERIVED DATA
This is a compilation of published rotational parameters derived from lightcurve data for asteroids, based on the Warner et al. (2009) Asteroid Lightcurve Database. This is the version as of February 3, 2017. In addition to reported rotational parameters by individual papers, there is a summary file with the values adopted by Harris, Warner, and Pravec as the most likely correct values for each asteroid. The data set also contains files listing known binary asteroids, asteroid spin axes, and 'tumbling' asteroids.
ASTEROID TAXONOMY V6.0
This data set is a collection of asteroid taxonomic classifications from various classification methods, collected from the literature.
TRIAD ASTEROID POLARIMETRY V2.0
This data set contains the data originally archived in TRIAD and reported in Morrison & Zellner, Asteroids (T. Gehrels, Ed., The University of Arizona Press, 1979) [MORRISON&ZELLNER1979]. It tabulates the reduced values of the polarization curves of the asteroids, namely minimum polarization, inversion angle, and polarimetric slope.
IRTF NEAR-IR SPECTROSCOPY OF ASTEROIDS V1.0
This data set contains low-resolution, near-infrared (0.8 - 2.5 micron) spectra of asteroids obtained with SpeX at the NASA Infrared Telescope Facility (IRTF) on Mauna Kea. Since it was commissioned in June 2000, SpeX has been the premier instrument for producing high quality near-IR spectra of asteroids. These spectra have been used for both taxonomic studies of asteroids, and for more detailed mineralogical and compositional investigations. This data set archives the reduced, calibrated spectra that have been published in the peer-reviewed literature, and will be regularly updated as more data become publicly available.
ASTEROID ABSOLUTE MAGNITUDES V9.0
Absolute magnitudes and slopes, mostly IAU-adopted with exceptions noted, for all asteroids numbered as of the 2005 April 7 batch of Minor Planet Circulars.
PLATE SHAPE MODEL OF ASTEROID STEINS V1.0
Shape model of asteroid 2867 Steins, as derived from the Rosetta images obtained around the time of closest approach.
EIGHT COLOR ASTEROID SURVEY PRINCIPAL COMPONENTS V1.0
This dataset provides the results of principal component analysis of the ECAS photometric data for minor planets.
ASTEROID POLARIMETRIC DATABASE V5.0
The Asteroid Polarimetric Database (APD) is a collection of asteroid polarimetry results compiled by D.F. Lupishko of Karazin Kharkiv National University, Ukraine. It is intended to include most asteroid polarimetry available through March 21, 2006.
IANNINI ASTEROID FAMILY SPECTRA V1.0
Keck/ESI spectra of 11 Iannini asteroid family members were obtained over visual wavelengths. The data have been published in Willman, et al. (2008Icar...195...663W)[WILLMANETAL2008]. The spectra show family likeness and are believed to represent young S class surfaces aged a few million years by space weathering, the dynamically estimated collisional age of the family.
ASTEROID DYNAMICAL FAMILIES V4.0
This dataset has been superseded by version 4.1 of the data. Dynamical family classification of asteroids by Zappala, et al., based on the hierarchical clustering method.
ASTEROID LIGHTCURVE DERIVED DATA V3.0
This is a compilation of published lightcurve results up through 20 October, 1997. This compilation is maintained by Alan Harris, JPL.
IRAS MINOR PLANET SURVEY ASTEROIDS V5.0
Derived diameters and albedoes of asteroids, plus associated data on sighting and non-sightings, extracted from the IRAS archives.
ASTEROID TAXONOMY V2.0
This dataset provides taxonomic classifications of asteroids in each of four different systems: Tholen (1984, 1989) [THOLEN1984, THOLEN1989] (1989) [TEDESCOETAL1989]
ASTEROID RADAR V10.0
This data set is intended to include all published groundbased asteroid radar detections. The entries were collected by Steven J. Ostro, and selected data have been collected from the published literature.
NEAR EARTH ASTEROID LIGHTCURVES V1.0
This data set contains photometric lightcurves of near-earth asteroids obtained by Petr Pravec and his collaborators at Ondrejov Observatory. Lightcurves for 42 asteroids are included. These asteroids were included based on a slightly wider criterion for a NEA: q < 1.33 AU (rather than the standard definition of q < 1.3 AU). As a result, some asteroids may be included which other researchers would classify as Mars-crossers.
ASTEROID LIGHTCURVE DERIVED DATA V14.0
This is a compilation of published rotational parameters derived from lightcurve data for asteroids, based on the Warner et al. (2009) Asteroid Lightcurve Database. This is the version as of March 1, 2014. In addition to reported rotational parameters by individual paper, there is a summary file with the values adopted by Harris, Warner, and Pravec as the most likely correct values for each asteroid. The data set also contains files listing known binary asteroids and 'tumbling' asteroids.
