ASTEROID OCCULTATIONS V5.0
This data set is intended to include all reported timings of observed asteroid occultation events as well as asteroid occultation axes derived from those timings by David W. Dunham and David Herald. Some occultations by planetary satellites are also included. This version is complete through the end of 2006, and contains additional events from 2007.
ASTEROID RADAR V13.0
This data set is intended to include all published groundbased asteroid radar detections. The entries were collected by Steven J. Ostro, and selected data have been collected from the published literature.
GALILEO ORBITER ASTEROID AND EARTH 2 SOLID STATE IMAGING 2 R
This data set has been generated by NASA's Galileo Project in order to distribute the images acquired by the Solid State Imaging (SSI) camera to the scientists and later to the Planetary Data System (PDS). The collection resides on volumes GO_0007 thru GO_0015 and consists of all images acquired by the Galileo spacecraft during the Gaspra and the second encounter with the Earth (Earth2). Included are images of Gaspra, the Earth's Moon and the Earth taken during the 1991 and 1992 encounters (SCLK 99757945 through 166324700), as well as additional star and calibration data.
PLATE SHAPE MODEL OF ASTEROID LUTETIA V1.0
Shape model of asteroid 21 Lutetia, as derived from the Rosetta images obtained around the time of closest approach. Twelve different versions of the model, at different resolutions, are given.
ASTEROID RADAR V15.0
This data set is intended to include all published groundbased asteroid radar detections. The file is based on the collection of asteroid radar detections established by Steven J. Ostro and currently maintained by Lance A.M. Benner. The file includes disc-integrated radar properties extracted from the published papers.
FORNASIER SPECTRA OF M ASTEROIDS V1.0
This data set contains reduced composite visual and near-infrared spectra of thirty M-type asteroids, observed over the years 2004-2008 and presented in Fornasier et al. (2010). The spectra were taken with the Dolores and NICS instruments at the Telescopio Nationale Galileo (TNG) in La Palma, with the EMMI and SOFI instruments at the ESO New Technology Telescope (NTT) in Chile, and with the SPeX instrument at the Infrared Telescope Facility (IRTF) in Hawaii. The individual spectra from the various instruments used to produce the composite spectra are also included.
ASTEROID OCCULTATIONS
This data set is intended to include all reported timings of observed asteroid occultation events through Feb. 23, 2005, as well as asteroid occultation axes derived from those timings by David W. Dunham and David Herald. Some occultations by planetary satellites are also included.
ASTEROID DYNAMICAL FAMILIES V4.1
Dynamical family classification of asteroids by Zappala, et al., based on the hierarchical clustering method.
ASTEROID RADAR V4.0
This data set is intended to include all groundbased asteroid radar detections. These data were collected from the published literature by Steven J. Ostro (1989) [OSTRO1989]. Observations which have not yet been published, or which have been reported only in an abstract, are included in the data set as an entry with blank data fields, for the purpose of informing the data set users of the existence of these detections. As the data from these detections are published, the data are added to this data set in yearly updates.
ASTEROID NAMES AND DISCOVERY V12.0
This data set includes names, designations, and discovery circumstances for the asteroids numbered as of April 20, 2008.
ASTEROID NAMES AND DISCOVERY V4.0
This data set includes names, designations, and discovery circumstances for the numbered asteroids, sorted in order of number. This data set supercedes past versions of both the ASTNAMES and DISCOVER asteroid data sets. It represents an extension of a file originally prepared by Pilcher (1979) [PILCHER1979] for the Tucson Revised Index of Asteroid Data (TRIAD) and updated in Pilcher (1989) [PILCHER1989] for the Asteroids II database. The data for asteroids numbered 4045 and greater were either provided by the Minor Planet Center or extracted from the Minor Planet Circulars, which are published by the Minor Planet Center on behalf of Commission 20 of the International Astronomical Union. In some cases, an institution or survey is credited with the discovery rather than an individual. No attempt has been made to correct the inconsistencies in the presentation of names (that is, some names are given with initials and some are not), or in the way locations are specified (for example, Pilcher distinguishes between the Lowell Observatory and Anderson Mesa locations in Flagstaff).
Gazetteer of Planetary Nomenclature: Asteroids: Rheasilvia
These images display asteriods documented and approved by the International Astronomical Union (IAU).
ASTEROID LIGHTCURVE DERIVED DATA V15.0
This is a compilation of published rotational parameters derived from lightcurve data for asteroids, based on the Warner et al. (2009) Asteroid Lightcurve Database. This is the version as of February 6, 2015. In addition to reported rotational parameters by individual paper, there is a summary file with the values adopted by Harris, Warner, and Pravec as the most likely correct values for each asteroid. The data set also contains files listing known binary asteroids, asteroid spin axes, and 'tumbling' asteroids.
SEVEN COLOR ASTEROID SURVEY
The Seven-color Asteroid Survey(SCAS) consists of photometry in seven filters from 0.9 to 2.3 microns, of a total of 126 asteroids of types S, K, and M.
ASTEROID 3-MICRON SURVEY V1.0
This dataset includes the infrared spectrophotometry asteroid data reported in the following papers: [LEBOFSKY1980]; [FEIERBERGETAL1985]; [LEBOFSKYETAL1990]; and [JONESETAL1990]
ASTEROID POLARIMETRIC DATABASE V2.0
The Asteroid Polarimetric Database (APD) is compiled by Dmitrij Lupishko of Kharkov University. This database tabulates the original data comprising degree of polarization as a function of phase angle of the asteroid, and additional parameters where available. This data set, together with 'polar.tab' containing the TRIAD polarimetry, includes most if not all existing asteroid polarimetry data published by 1996. The APD is an ongoing compilation and this data set will be updated yearly.
ASTEROID ABSOLUTE MAGNITUDES V11.0
Absolute magnitudes and slopes, mostly IAU-adopted with exceptions noted, for all asteroids numbered as of the 2007 April 2 batch of Minor Planet Circulars.
ASTEROID OCCULTATIONS V14.0
This data set is intended to include all reported timings of observed asteroid, planet, and planetary satellite occultation events as well as occultation axes derived from those timings by David W. Dunham and David Herald. This version is complete through the end of 2015.
ASTEROID NAMES AND DESIGNATIONS V2.0
This is a tabulation of catalog numbers, names, and IAU principle provisional designations for asteroids. The entries are ordered by catalog number, alphabetical order by name, and chronological order by provisional designation.
ASTEROID (101955) BENNU SHAPE MODEL V1.0
We present the three-dimensional shape of near-Earth asteroid (101955) Bennu (provisional designation 1999 RQ36) based on radar images and optical lightcurves (Nolan et al., 2013). Bennu was observed both in 1999 at its discovery apparition, and in 2005 using the 12.6-cm radar at the Arecibo Observatory and the 3.5-cm radar at the Goldstone tracking station. Data obtained in both apparitions were used to construct a shape model of this object. Observations were also obtained at many other wavelengths to characterize this object, some of which were used to further constrain the shape modeling (Clark et al., 2011; Hergenrother et al., 2013; Krugly et al., 1999).
