Chirnells Moor N04 (Feb 2006)

Stone on private farmland near Glitteringstone, approximately 1000 metres NE of Thropton, Northumberland. A possible new find by NADRAP Team 3 or Rock VII of Newbigin (1934), this stone was referenced 'Chirnells Moor N04' and added to ERA in 2008 and described as: "A large sloping panel with cups in loosely scattered groups and without apparent arrangement. Five cups at the north end form a curve. Cups at south-west end are circular, but rough in appearance. These are small in form, arranged in a triangular pattern. They are thought artificial based upon this arrangement. On this cleaned 3D model, a few cups appear to have rings. Barningham Moor 149 (May 2009)

Boulder found in the Brown Hill area of Barningham Moor, County Durham. This ground level stone was first reported to Richard Stroud in May 2009. Unfortunately, it was found too late to be recorded by NADRAP as the project had ceased in August the previous year. For the purposes of ERAA, the stone has been referenced 'Barningham Moor 149'. A subsequent excavation by Paul Brown recorded the full extent of the stone and its motifs. He found the rock to be dome shaped with upwards of 13 cups, some displaying tool marks. In March 2019, the rock had once again completely disappeared below the turf. Model created from 6 images captured by Richard Stroud in May 2009. Some of the tool marks can quite clearly be seen. Processed data from Svalbard shelf moorings 2010-2014

<p>Data from five moorings deployed in 2010-2014 on the south-western Svalbard shelf in Matlab-format. Data&nbsp;subset&nbsp;(from DJFM winter periods) was used and described in Goszczko et al. 2018 (published in JGR Oceans, see table S2 in Supporting Information). Some processing was modified compared to the original analysis (see read-me for details). Raw data are available from the Institute of Oceanology, Polish Academy of Sciences (IOPAN), Sopot, Poland.</p> <p>These deployments took place during IO PAN Arctic Experiments AREX carried out since 1987 and were supported by the Norway Grants from the Polish-Norwegian Research Fund project AWAKE (PNRF-22-A I-1/07), from the Polish-Norwegian Research Programme: AWAKE-2 (POL-NOR/198675/17/2013) and from Narodowe Centrum Nauki, Preludium MIXAR grant (2012/05/N/ST10/03643).</p>

Barningham Moor 63 (Oct 2006)

Found close to the settlement site below How Tallon ridge on Barningham Moor, County Durham. This carved rock is positioned near the base of the scarp below How Tallon ridge, and sits just outside the probable Romano-British settlement. Referenced 45 in Beckensall &amp; Laurie's 1998 publication 'Prehistoric Rock Art of County Durham, Swaledale and Wensleydale', this carving was added to ERA by NADRAP as 'Barningham Moor 63' in 2008.
