H2020 ENODISE: VKI Numerical Aeroacoustic Database of Configuration B1

<p>This database represents the resultant data from a hybrid methodology consisting of aerodynamic simulations using uRANS and acoustic propagation simulations using FEM. The simulation of both the aerodynamic installation effects and the acoustic installation effects is available. The data from the aerodynamic simulations is given in the<em>&nbsp;.cgns&nbsp;</em>format and are in the <em>Aerodynamic_Results</em>&nbsp;folder. The resulting acoustic directivities from these sources using the FEM-Source Mode method are stored in the <em>Acoustic_Results</em>&nbsp;folder as <em>.csv </em>files. Both folders have a README file available with more details.</p>

H2020 ENODISE: TUD Experimental database configuration B1

<p>This dataset contains experimental data for aerodynamics and acoustics of configuration B1, which was defined in the H2020 ENODISE project (<a href="https://www.vki.ac.be/index.php/about-enodise">https://www.vki.ac.be/index.php/about-enodise</a>). The measurements were taken in the Low-Speed, Low-Turbulence Tunnel (LTT) at Delft University of Technology, using a Distributed Electric Propulsion (DEP) configuration model that consists of three propellers installed side-by-side on the leading edge of a wing.</p>

Climate data for B1 chart recorder, 1952 - 1970.

Climatological data were collected from a ridgetop climate station east of Niwot Ridge (B1 at 2591 m) throughout the year. Parameters measured were temperature, relative humidity, solar radiation, and precipitation. The station was initially instrumented with a thermohygrograph (regularly calibrated and checked with maximum and minimum thermometers and psychrometers), standard 8-inch precipitation gauge installed with the rim 1 m above ground, totalizing anemometer (approximately 0.7 m above the general level of tree crowns), and maximum and minimum soil thermometers at approximately 15 and 30 cm depth. A recording precipitation gauge was installed in 1965. The installation in the clearing was positioned so that the gauge rim subtended an angle of 45 degrees to the tree crowns although the most effective angle is 30 degrees according to Leaf (1962).
