CSV-format data for: Increased mortality in community-tested cases of SARS-CoV-2 lineage B.1.1.7

This is a supplementary upload to https://zenodo.org/record/4579857.

This upload provides the same anonymised individual-level SARS-CoV-2 testing data for England as that earlier upload provided, but provides it in CSV format (comma-separated values) instead of in the previous QS format. The QS format requires specialised software (e.g. the qs package for R) to read, so I am providing the data in CSV format to facilitate access to and re-use of the data.

Please see the original data upload, https://zenodo.org/record/4579857, the associated journal article, Increased mortality in community-tested cases of SARS-CoV-2 lineage B.1.1.7, and the project's Github repository, https://github.com/nicholasdavies/cfrvoc, for full details.

CSV and JSON data describing the quantity and content of uploads to Thingiverse for 2015-2020

The COVID-19 pandemic profoundly affected various aspects of daily life, particularly the supply and demand of essential goods, resulting in critical shortages. This included personal protective equipment (PPE) for medical professionals and the general public. To address these shortages, online "maker communities" emerged, aiming to develop and locally manufacture critical products. While some organized efforts existed, the majority of initiatives originated from individuals and groups on platforms like Thingiverse. This paper presents a longitudinal analysis of Thingiverse, one of the largest maker community websites, to examine the pandemic's effects. Our findings reveal a surge in community output during the initial lockdown periods in major contributing nations (primarily those in the western-hemisphere), followed by a subsequent decline. Additionally, throughout 2020, pandemic-related products dominated uploads and interactions during this period. Based on these observations, we propose recommendations to expedite the community's ability to support local, national, and international responses to future disasters.

ENTSO-E PECD (European Climate Database) from MAF 2019 in CSV and Feather formats

ENTSO-E has published the PECD dataset with the Mid-term Adequacy Forecast (MAF) 2019: https://www.entsoe.eu/outlooks/midterm/#download

The downloadable archive contains 3 large Microsoft Excel (~350 MB each). Each file contains the hourly data for all the considered weather years (1982-2016) for all the MAF regions (grouped in tabs).

Here we provide the same data but in a more open and user-friendly format.

Single files

Data saved in CSV and Feather format (using R package feather 0.35). Each file contains the hourly data in a wide tabular format with area, day, month, hour and year (1982-2016). The files are:

PECD-MAF2019-wide-PV.csv (and .feather)

PECD-MAF2019-wide-WindOffshore.csv (and .feather)

PECD-MAF2019-wide-WindOnshore.csv (and .feather)

Split by year

We provide here three archives each one containing a file per year. The files are:

PECD-MAF2019-wide-PV.single_years.tar.bz2

PECD-MAF2019-wide-WindOffShore.single_years.tar.bz2

PECD-MAF2019-wide-WindOnshore.single_years.tar.bz2

Mapping the world's free-flowing rivers: CSV Dataset

These data were originally generated by: Grill, G., Lehner, B., Thieme, M. et al. Mapping the world’s free-flowing rivers. Nature 569, 215–221 (2019). https://doi.org/10.1038/s41586-019-1111-9.

The dataset here is a CSV generated from the original data curated and generated by Grill et al. to facilitate processing of the data using a variety of computational tools. The attribute table of the data generated in the study were extracted from an ArcGIS geodatabase format using QGIS and converted to a CSV.

The description of the variables and attributes can be found in the documentation of the original dataset: https://figshare.com/articles/Mapping_the_world_s_free-flowing_rivers_data_set_and_technical_documentation/7688801.

US FDA FAERS Drug Adverse Event Dataset Processed as Relational CSV

WARNING: This is an early attempt at processing a large dataset, and I have not yet completely validated the processing scripts or the resulting CSV files.

This is a compressed archive of the US FDA FAERS Drug Averse Event database, obtained from open.fda.gov (https://open.fda.gov) and processed with scripts that I wrote (https://github.com/dbuijs/faers2csv) to convert the 100 GB of JSON files into relational CSV that take up approximately 6 GB of space and are suitable for loading into a relational database such as PostgreSQL.

This version of the data was processed on January 29, 2016.

faerscsv.tar.bz2 expands into a folder called csv, with 4 relational CSV files for each source JSON file.

faerstats.tar.bz2 expands into a folder called stats, with a text file for each CSV file containing summary statistics generated by csvstat (Python CSVkit).
