Der Kirchenbaumeister Christian Friedrich Uhlig erbaute sie im Stile des Klassizismus. Die Kirche ist 39 Meter lang und besitzt einen 48 Meter hohen Glockenturm mit 5 Glocken. Eine Besonderheit stellt die romantische Kirchenorgel dar, welche von der traditionsreichen Firma Jehmlich 1922 geschaffen und eingebaut wurde, nachdem die ursprüngliche Göthel-Orgel im Ersten Weltkrieg zerstört worden war."
