FIGURE 4 in Saxicola syenitica Heuglin, 1869 (Aves: Passeriformes: Muscicapidae), an overlooked taxon of Oenanthe?

FIGURE 4. PCA ratio spectrum for first and second principal component in shape and allometry ratio spectrum. The second principle component in shape, which separated the syenitica type from the other taxa, was dominated by the ratio of bill length and tarsus length. According to the allometry ratio spectrum, this ratio is only marginally influenced by allometric relationships.

FIGURE 3 in Saxicola syenitica Heuglin, 1869 (Aves: Passeriformes: Muscicapidae), an overlooked taxon of Oenanthe?

FIGURE 3. Top left: Scatterplot of first against second principal component (PC1 and PC2) in shape space. The syenitica type is clearly separated by PC2 from warriae, lugens and persica. Bottom left: Scatterplot of isosize against first principal component in shape space. Bottom right: Scatterplot of isosize against second principal component in shape space. There is no correlation discernible between isosize and shape. Hence, our data did not seem to be influenced by allometry.
