Processed UAV orthomosaics and DEMs of Fjallsjökull, southeast Iceland (1 of 2)
<p>Orthomosaics and DEMs of the lower ice surface of Fjallsjökull, southeast Iceland, produced from high resolution UAV surveys undertaken in July and September 2019, and July 2021. This data was produced as part of my PhD research, and therefore, forms a significant component of my final PhD thesis.</p> <p>All files are in UTM Zone 28N. The resolution of the uploaded orthomosaics and DEMs are given below. </p> <p>2019 Orthomosaics and DEMs exported at <strong>0.03 m</strong> and <strong>0.07 m</strong> resolution, respectively.</p> <p>2021 Orthomosaics and DEMs exported at <strong>0.02 m</strong> and <strong>0.05 m</strong> resolution, respectively. </p> <p>Please note this is dataset 1 out of 2 (due to the 50 GB limit of file uploads). The remaining orthomosaics from 2021 have been uploaded to dataset 2 of 2 (DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.7111111). </p> <p>Consequently this dataset <strong>only</strong> includes the following:</p> <p><strong>1)</strong> All orthomosaics and DEMs from 2019, produced from the following dates: 5th, 6th, 7th and 9th of July; 19th, 20th and 21st of September.</p> <p><strong>2) </strong>All DEMs from 2021, produced from the following dates: 4th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th and 15th of July.</p> <p><strong>3) Three </strong>orthomosaics from July 2021, produced from the following dates: 4th, 6th and 7th of July. </p>

UAV-acquired orthomosaics of Loviisa shoreline outcrops
<p>This dataset contains photogrammetrically generated orthomosaics of shoreline outcrops at Loviisa, South-East Finland. We used a drone to photograph the outcrops from a flight altitude of 20 m. We processed the photographs into the<br> orthomosaics using Agisoft Photoscan software. We used up to 10 ground control<br> points to accurately georeference the orthomosaics. The resulting orthomosaics<br> have a ground sampling distance of 0.55 cm / pixel.</p> <p>Coordinate system ETRS:3067, ETRS-TM35FIN and the data is provided as GeoTIFF (.tif) and png files (pngs added 1.3.2023). Note that the KL2 tif original has been split into two png files (KL2_1 and KL2_2).</p> <p>The photos were taken and processed as part of a Geological Survey of<br> Finland project, KYT KARIKKO, with funding from Finnish National Nuclear Waste<br> Management Fund (KYT) during the summer of 2019.</p> <p>Changelog:</p> <p>pngs changed to 8-bit 26.5.2023</p> <p>pngs added 1.3.2023</p>
G-LiHT Aerial Orthomosaic V001
Goddard’s LiDAR, Hyperspectral, and Thermal Imager ([G-LiHT](https://gliht.gsfc.nasa.gov/)) mission is a portable, airborne imaging system that aims to simultaneously map the composition, structure, and function of terrestrial ecosystems. G-LiHT primarily focuses on a broad diversity of forest communities and ecoregions in North America, mapping aerial swaths over the Conterminous United States (CONUS), Alaska, Puerto Rico, and Mexico.The purpose of G-LiHT’s Aerial Orthomosaic data product (GLORTHO) is to provide orthorectified high-resolution aerial photography. This data is provided as a supplement to other G-LiHT data products.GLORTHO data are processed as a raster data product (GeoTIFF) at 1 inch spatial resolution over locally defined areas. A low resolution browse is also provided with a color map applied in PNG format. Known Issues* Orthomosaics are automatically generated, and results may not be optimal.

This dataset provides NASA AirSWOT Ka-band (35.75 GHz) radar interferometry data products for water surface elevation (WSE), a derived color-infrared (CIR) digital image orthomosaic, and derived lake/wetland and river channel water masks at 3.6 x 3.6 m resolution for a study area of ~3,300 km2 in the Yukon Flats Basin (YFB) in eastern interior Alaska. The data were collected during a flight over the region on June 15, 2015.These data were collected to validate AirSWOT WSE mappings and to improve the understanding of surface water flow through complex Arctic-Boreal wetland systems.
