Palace of Justice lobby lion

![](http://stezhkamu.com/img/places/176/625.jpg) Today, the Palace of Justice is perceived only as the XIX building of the Lviv Polytechnic National University, but few know what role this pasty building has played in the past. The building began its legendary journey from antiquity to the present in 1891. Then, according to the plans of the Polish architect Francis Skovron, the palace was erected for the Supreme Court of Galicia. Once in the middle of the room, in the lobby we will see two stone lions, which symbolized the protection of the law and laws of Galicia. They were performed by the author of the monument to Adam Mickiewicz in Lviv, Anton Popel. Created in RealityCapture by Capturing Reality. Shot on Lumia 930. Source: Objaverse 1.0 / Sketchfab

Phaistos Disc _Minoan palace_island of Crete

The Phaistos Disc is a disk of fired clay from the Minoan palace of Phaistos on the island of Crete, Greece, possibly dating to the middle or late Minoan Bronze Age (second millennium B.C.). The disk is about 15 cm (5.9 in) in diameter and covered on both sides with a spiral of stamped symbols. Its purpose and meaning, and even its original geographical place of manufacture, remain disputed, making it one of the most famous mysteries of archaeology. This unique object is now on display at the archaeological museum of Heraklion in Crete. The disc was discovered in 1908 by the Italian archaeologist Luigi Pernier in the Minoan palace-site of Phaistos, and features 241 tokens, comprising 45 distinct signs, which were apparently made by pressing hieroglyphic "seals" into a disc of soft clay, in a clockwise sequence spiraling toward the center of the disk. Nineveh SW Palace, Room XIV (K) panels 13-15

Gypsum wall panel relief: showing prisoners from the town of Alammu. In the lower register Assyrian soldiers and auxiliaries bring the heads of slain prisoners to an officer of the king's guard carrying a long staff and large round shield; they are followed by prisoners handcuffed to the belt, one being executed en route, and women with children who, judging from their dress, are of Syrian type. The scene is set between a river plentiful in fish and a row of trees and vines which point to Syria or a western land. The careful distinctions made in the equipment of the soldiery are interesting. Dating to 700 BC - 692 BC, found in Sennacherib's South West Palace, Room XIV (K) panels 13-15 at Nineveh. Ak-Saray Palace, Shahrisabz, Uzbekistan

Timur's Summer Palace, the "White Palace" was planned as the most grandiose of all Timur's constructions. It was started in 1380 by artisans deported by Timur from the recently conquered Khwarezm. Unfortunately, only parts of its gigantic 65 m gate-towers survive, with blue, white and gold mosaics. Formerly known as Kesh and tentatively identified with the ancient Nautaca, Shahrisabz is one of Central Asia's most ancient cities. It was founded more than 2,700 years ago and formed a part of the Achaemenid Empire or Persia from the 6th to 4th centuries BC. Kesh was the birthplace of Timur in 1336. Timur (in the west Tamerlane) regarded Kesh as his "home town" and planned it eventually to be the location of his tomb. However, during his reign, the center of activity shifted to Samarkand instead. 3D model made in Reality Capture using xxx Leica RTC 360 scan positions and 3825 images. Doge's Palace Pillar

"Doge's Palace was probably built between the 10th and 11th centuries on the basis of a fortified central core. This nucleus was constituted with a central body with towers in the corners forming one of the masterpieces of the Venetian Gothic. In the 12th century, the first restructuring was carried out with the duke Sebastiano Ziani, who transformed the fort into an elegant palace. Later in 1200 a new expansion was realized." (Citation: https://www.venice-museum.com/doge-palace.php ) Photographed using a GoPro Hero4 in a busy environemnt. I focused my photogrpahy only on this pillar from different distances which is why most of the palace was not captured in the model. Source: Objaverse 1.0 / Sketchfab

Nineveh South West Palace, Room XXXI

Gypsum wall-panel depicting the Battle of Til-Tuba (Battle of the River Ulai) in relief: in the lower register, the Assyrians are attacking from the left. The Battle of Til-Tuba (or the River Ulai), showing the Assyrians defeating the Elamites of southern Iran, is arguably the finest large-scale composition in Assyrian art. Though the beginning of the battle is lost, the rout of the Elamite army on three adjoining panels forms essentially a complete unit on its own. This was one of a series of about ten compositions, recounting the story of an entire campaign, which lined the walls of a room in Sennacherib's palace but were actually carved for Ashurbanipal.
