<p>Automated classification of metadata of research data by their field of study can be used in scientometric research, by repository service providers, and in the context of research data aggregation services. To evaluate different machine learning approaches, data from the DataCite index have been downloaded in May 2019 with a GeRDI harvester (filtering out any metadata without a qualified subject, i.e. a subject with either a subjectName or a subjectURI) . These is the resulting raw data set.</p>

Raw data for publication Vaccination of elms against Dutch elm disease – are the associated epiphytes and endophytes affected?
<p>The raw datasets accompany manuscript titled " Vaccination of elms against Dutch elm disease – are the associated epiphytes and endophytes affected?", submitted by co-authors to Journal of Fungi. The data were collected to evaluate the potential impact of Dutch Trig ® vaccination treatment on two groups of associated biodiversity in elms (<em>Ulmus</em> species), specifically, epiphytes (mainly lichens) and endophytic fungi, on two sites in Sweden, Stockholm and Gotland. The studies were conducted in spring term of 2022. Epiphyte coverage was assessed visually from four cardinal sites of 17 vaccinated (since 2011) and as many unvaccinated, healthy elms. Endophytic fungi were studied using a culture-dependent approach that results in cultures growing on agar plates. These isolates were assigned to morphotaxa groups (proxy for taxonomic groups) based on morphological traits. The growth rate of each isolate was assessed on a 3-step scale (low, medium or fast growth).</p>

However, the data acquisition is limited by low spatial frequency EPI artifacts; termed as Fuzzy Ripples. These artifacts limit the practical applicability of acquisition protocols with higher spatial resolution, faster acquisition speed, and they challenge imaging in lower brain areas. </p> <p><strong>Methods: </strong>We characterize Fuzzy Ripple artifacts across commonly used sequences and distinguish them from conventional EPI Nyquist ghosts, off-resonance effects, and GRAPPA artifacts. To investigate their origin, we employ dual polarity readouts.</p> <p><strong>Results: </strong>Our findings indicate that Fuzzy Ripples are primarily caused by kx-specific imperfections in gradient trajectories, which can be exacerbated by inductive coupling between third-order shims and readout gradients. We also find that these artifacts can be mitigated through complex-valued averaging of dual polarity EPI or by disconnecting the third-order shim.</p> <p><strong>Conclusion:</strong> The proposed mitigation strategies allow for overcoming current limitations in layer-fMRI protocols: </p> <p>(1) Achieving resolutions beyond 0.8mm is feasible, and even at 3T, we achieved 0.53mm voxel functional connectivity mapping. </p> <p>(2) Temporal acquisition speed can be increased to GRAPPA 8. </p> <p>(3) Sub-millimeter fMRI is achievable in lower brain areas, including the cerebellum.</p> <p> </p>

<p><strong>Background: </strong>The prognostic role of moderate hyperkalemia in reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF) patients is still controversial. Despite this, it affects the use of renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system inhibitors (RAASi) with therapy down-titration or discontinuation.</p> <p><strong>Objectives: </strong>Aim of the study was to assess the prognostic impact of moderate hyperkalemia in chronic HFrEF optimally treated patients.</p> <p><strong>Methods and results: </strong>We retrospectively analyzed MECKI (Metabolic Exercise test data combined with Cardiac and Kidney Indexes) database, with median follow-up of 4.2 [IQR 1.9-7.5] years. Data on K<sup>+</sup> levels were available in 7087 cases. Patients with K<sup>+</sup> plasma level ≥ 5.6 mEq/L and < 4 mEq/L were excluded. Remaining patients were categorized into normal >4 and < 5 mEq/L (n = 4826, 68%) and moderately high ≥5.0 and ≤ 5.5 mEq/L (n = 496, 7%) K<sup>+</sup>. Then patients were matched by propensity score in 484 couplets of patients. MECKI score value was 7% [IQR 3.1-14.1%] and 7.3% [IQR 3.4-15%] (p = 0.678) in patients with normal and moderately high K<sup>+</sup> values while cardiovascular mortality events at two years follow-up were 41 (4.2%) and 33 (3.4%) (p = 0.333) in each group respectively.</p> <p><strong>Conclusions: </strong>Moderate hyperkalemia does not influence patients' outcome in a large cohort of ambulatory HFrEF patients.</p>
