FIGURE 5. Phylogenetic tree generated by Bayesian Inference (BI) applied to the partial SSU rRNA gene sequences of Myxobolus arariensis sp. n. and related myxosporeans, rooted at Kudoa thyrsites and K. alliaria. The GenBank accession numbers are shown adjacent to the species names. The numbers at the nodes indicate the bootstrap support for the Bayesian Inference. M. arariensis is shown in bold type. The taxonomic order of all the species selected for the phylogenetic analysis is shown. Any values below 50% are indicated by an asterisk. GenBank Accession numbers follow the species name.

Acute exposure of silver catfish (Rhamdia quelen) to chlorantraniliprole insecticide
<p>This study aimed to verify whether exposure to a commercial formulation of the chlorantraniliprole insecticide, which is used on rice crops, alters biochemical parameters in silver catfish (<em>Rhamdia quelen</em>). Fifty-four animals were distributed in six units per tank (n=6/repetition), in triplicate for each treatment: T1 - control (no insecticide), T2 (0.02 μg/L insecticide) and T3 (0.20 μg/L insecticide). Exposure lasted 24 or 96h, followed by a 96-h recovery in water free of pesticide. Results indicated biochemical changes in the levels of cortisol, glucose, lactate and plasma protein as well as few ionic alterations in the gills during exposure and recovery. The presence of chlorantraniliprole at 0.02 and 0.20 μg/L in water for acute exposure (sub-lethal) of silver catfish triggered osmoregulatory and/or biochemical imbalance under the tested conditions, and most of these alterations did not recover within 96h in clear water.</p>

Fig. 3. Composition of fatty acids 20:4 n-6 (ARA), 20:5 n-3 (EPA) and 22:6 n-3 (DHA) and n-3/n-6, EPA/ARA relations and unsaturated fatty acids (UFA)/ saturated fatty acids (SFA) observed in Rhamdia quelen ovaries captured in different seasons: spring (dark gray), summer (black), winter (light gray) and autumn (white), and grouped according to their gonadal maturation stage (GMS) Immature = I, GMS II and III = GMS in maturation and GMS IV = Mature. 1 Different letter for the same fatty acid or fatty acids relation indicate significant differences at a significance level of 5%.2 In winter females in stages of gonadal maturation I and IV, in spring females in stage of gonadal maturation I and in fall females in stage of gonadal maturation IV were not collected.
