<p>This data repository is associated with the scientific article "Upscaling Tracer-aided Ecohydrological Modeling to Larger Catchments: Implications for Process Representation and Heterogeneity in Landscape Organization" by Yang et al. Wave climate simulations for Denmark - for paper 'Coinciding storm surge and wave setup: A regional assessment of sea level rise impact'
<p>This wave climate dataset are the results for the paper titled 'Coinciding storm surge and wave setup: A regional assessment of sea level rise impact'.</p> <p>The operational wave forecasting service provided by DMI-WAM uses the WAM Cycle version 4.5.4, a third-generation spectral wave model. DMI-WAM is used for the wave climate simulations. The meteorological forcing used in this study was obtained from the regional climate model DMI-HIRHAM, developed by the Danish Meteorological Institute (DMI). It is a component of the CORDEX (Coordinated Regional Climate Downscaling Experiment) ensemble in Europe. Regarding the selection of the time frame and IPCC scenarios in our study, we adhered to the recommendations provided by municipalities. Municipalities are keenly interested in obtaining near-future wind wave data for the specific purpose of using them for risk management. Therefore, the examination of forthcoming weather extremes in the near future within the context of the high greenhouse gas emission scenario (RCP8.5 scenario) is of significance within this investigation. We conduct simulations that encompass two distinct time periods: the historical period spanning from 1976 to 2005, and the near-future period from 2041 to 2070. We analyse the WAM model results for wave climate under both present climate conditions (1976-2005) and future climate scenarios (2041-2070) under the RCP8.5 scenario. Furthermore, note that while our wave climate simulations provide valuable insights into the dynamics of wind-induced waves, the mean SLR is not explicitly taken into account. Eddy covariance data of lower-cost and conventional setups and meteorological data, Wendhausen 2022 campaign
<p>Eddy covariance fluxes, together with ancillary meteorological data, spectra, stability and turbulence parameters, corresponding to the measurement campaign conducted in Wendhausen, Lehre, Lower Saxony (Germany) in 2022. The results were presented in the paper <em>Comparison between lower-cost and conventional eddy covariance set-ups for CO2 and evapotranspiration measurements above monocropping and agroforestry systems</em>, <a href="https://dx.doi.org/10.2139/ssrn.4632023" target="_blank" rel="noopener">http://dx.doi.org/10.2139/ssrn.4632023</a>.</p> <p>Spectra and co-spectra were averaged as presented in the paper. Flux data are not filtered or quality checked in these files, but the procedure followed for that is described in the paper as well.</p>

<p>** this file is automatically downloaded by Phantom when running the starcluster setup **</p> <p>This is a small ascii file containing positions and velocities of stars utilised in the "starcluster" configuration in the Phantom smoothed particle hydrodynamics and magnetohydrodynamics code (<a href="http://adsabs.harvard.edu/abs/2018PASA...35...31P">Price et al. 2018</a>). It is used to set up a collection of N-body particles.</p> <p>The star cluster setup (and the data file) were written by Yann Bernard as part of his PhD thesis at<strong> </strong>Université Grenoble Alpes. The datafile is published here so it can be used in the automated code testing via github actions. </p> <p>The columns are mass, position (x,y,z) and velocity (vx,vy,vz) for all of the stars in the simulation</p>

<p>This dataset contains the wave setup and wave-induced flooding from the simulations in a profile of a coral reef island. The complete description of the simulations can be found in "Coastal flooding and sea-level rise allowances in atoll island". The wave setup and flooding values correspond to the median values of the 3 simulations performed for each parameter combination. A measure of the dispersion of the three simulation is also given as the standard deviation of the three simulations.</p>

Setup of a 3D printed wind tunnel: application for calibrating bi-directional velocity probes used in Fire Engineering Applications
<p>The research presented here focuses on the development of a 3D printed wind tunnel and the relevant equipment to be used for calibrating bi-directional velocity probes (BDVP). BDVP are equipment to be used for measuring velocity flow by determining the pressure difference of hot gases generated during fires. The manufactured probes require calibration to determine the calibration factor to achieve precise measurement. The calibration is usually performed in wind tunnels which can be difficult to access due to costs, complexity and the various pieces of equipment required. The aim of the current study is to develop and assemble an inexpensive and easy-to-build bench-scale wind tunnel, with a data-logging system and fan control functionalities for fast and effective calibration of BDVP. A 3D printer with a PET-G filament is used, able to produce parts for the wind tunnel system which are durable and easy to handle and assemble. The system additionally includes an Arduino-based measuring unit with a hot-wire anemometer and temperature correction: Rev. P. This takes precise measurements; continuously logging data on a computer through a USB interface and capable of saving data on an SD card. This design provides users with parameters of velocity flow up to 4 m/s with standard deviation of 1.2 % and turbulence intensity of 1 %. The main advantages of this wind tunnel are its simplicity to build and portability.</p> <p>The dataset contains design files for 3D printing of the wind tunnel, BOM and wiring of electronic components.</p> <p>The project is prototype under development and authors are not responsible for any damages or injuries caused by inappropriate construction or operation. <p>Trajectories of simulated lipid membranes with antimicrobial peptidomimetic AMC-109.<br> Trajectories are in GROMACS format ".xtc", the frame rate is 10 ns, and water and NaCl ions were omitted from the trajectory deposit to reduce the size to acceptable limits.</p> <p>The molecules are described using MARTINI 3 coarse grained force field.<br> This repository contains a set of simulations with varying ratio of POPC:POPG lipids from<br> 100% POPC, 0% POPG (denoted as "pg000p..") to<br> 0% POPC, 100% POPG (denoted as "pg100p..").<br> Ratios between these two extremes go in steps of 10%,<br> e.g. "pg060p.." denotes 40% POPC, 60% POPG.</p> <p> </p> <p>The files with ".out" or ".xvg" suffix are properties analyzed from the simulation.
