Atomic Force Microscopy image of coagulation factor Va in liquid

Original raw and corrected AFM images of isolated coagulation factor Va (FVa). The image was acquired in liquid with an OTR8 cantilever using the peak force tapping mode of a multimode V microscope. The image size is 1 x 1 µm² with 1024 x 1024 pixels². The corrected image was obtained using Gwyddion (.gwy file) from the raw image file (.spm). This image was the experimental data used to assemble the A trimer and the two C domains of FVa using the AFMAssembly pipeline described in Chaves et al. (2014): http://dx.doi.org/10.1160/TH14-06-0481. The paper can be downloaded from the HAL repository (https://hal.archives-ouvertes.fr/hal-01146300v1).

Turbidity of a Salt Marsh within the Chesapeake Bay, VA, USA, 2016-2017

We measured turbidity along a transect from channel to marsh interior from December 2015 to January 2017 at a salt mash at the mouth of the York River in the Chesapeake Bay, VA, USA. We measured turbidity (NTU) with three optical back scatter sensors (YSI EXO) to in a shore normal transect, with one in the channel and two on the marsh surface at 1m from the marsh edge and 12m from the marsh edge, respectively. The sensors measured every 15 minutes and were equipped with automatic wipers to reduce biofouling. Following retrieval, the turbidity time series data was filtered to remove any erroneous points and times when the sensors were fouled or exposed (Coleman et al. 2020). Turbidity was then calibrated to suspended sediment concentration with local sediment resulting in the calibration equation SSC (mg/L) =1.667*Sensor Turbidity (NTU)

Ground Water Level at Brownsville and Hog Island, VA 1997-2009

Water levels were measured on Phillips Creek Marsh from October 1997 through December 2009 and on Hog Island from November 2002 through August 2007. Data collection for some of the stations are included in follow-on VCRLTER datasets: "knb-lter-vcr-207- Ground Water Levels at Phillips Creek Marsh, VA 2012-present" and "knb-lter-vcr.177-Groundwater Levels on Hog Island, VA. 2007-" Water levels were recorded at 3 wells in the Phillips Creek Marsh at Brownsville Plantation near Nassawadox, VA. One was located near the creek bank, one in the mid-marsh and one in the high marsh. On Hog Island, four loggers were located at the edge of the marsh, in the adjacent shrub thicket, near a freshwater pond in the center of the island and in an adjacent thicket (running from the bay towards the ocean side of the island). Water levels were recorded in wells using WL40 level loggers. The WL40 units have a sealed data logger attached to a conductive wire that runs along a plastic pole. When inserted into a well, the logger records the amount of the wire that is submersed, based on capacitance. The advantage of this method is that it is insensitive to atmospheric pressure changes or to changes in water salinity. Data is dumped via an optical interface to a calculator.
