232 Indonesian Dams Dataset
<p>This dataset presents the river length, slope, and SCS curve number (CN) of the dam’s catchments. The dam coordinates were acquired from the visual identification of satellite imagery and cross-checked with the government’s data. The river length and slope of the reservoir watersheds were calculated using HEC-HMS 4.11 software. The curve number was identified using an R script with the aid of the national land use map and hydrologic soil group type map. This dataset aims to provide reliable Indonesian reservoir watershed data for hydrology modeling, reservoir operation, and maintenance.</p>

Before river diversion, the sectors near the river had greater basal areas because they had many thick trees while distant sectors had thin trees (the density was statistically similar). After four years of river diversion, there were many trunks of still alive trees and dead trees in the sector closer to the river. Even with high growth, the basal area in this sector was severely reduced and became similar to the distant sector (which already has small basal area).
