AquaMaps are computer-generated predictions of natural occurrence of marine species, based on the environmental tolerance of a given species with respect to depth, salinity, temperature, primary productivity, and its association with sea ice or coastal areas. These __environmental envelopes__ are matched against an authority file which contains respective information for the Oceans of the World. Independent knowledge such as distribution by FAO areas or bounding boxes are used to avoid mapping species in areas that contain suitable habitat, but are not occupied by the species. Maps show the color-coded likelihood of a species to occur in a half-degree cell, with about 50 km side length near the equator. Experts are able to review, modify and approve maps.<p></p>

POLCAND_ELEC (Allocation of Seats on Electoral Lists: A Dynamic Analysis of Candidate Positioning in Parliamentary Elections from 1991 to 2023)

<p>The aim of the study was to supplement and expand the data contained in the EAST PaC database (Joshua Kjerulf Dubrow: East European Parliamentarian and Candidate Data (EAST PaC), 1985 - 2015 [dane]. Institute of Philosophy and Sociology, Polish Academy of Sciences [producent], Warsaw, 2016. PADS21320. Polish Social Data Archive [dystrybutor], Repozytorium Danych Społecznych [wydawca], 2021.&nbsp;<a href="https://doi.org/10.18150/LSBNLO" target="_blank" rel="noopener">https://doi.org/10.18150/LSBNLO</a>, V1).</p> <p>Currently, an open-access database called EAST PaC (with a data structure similar to panel data, which allows for identifying candidates each time they participate in subsequent elections) contains information on all candidates who have ever run in elections to the Sejm in Poland, from the last elections in the People's Republic of Poland in 1985 to the elections in 2015.</p> <p>This study allowed for the expansion of previous analyses regarding the ways of forming political representation and the associated quality of political elites. This is essential for conducting a dynamic analysis of candidate positioning on electoral lists, which enables tracing the electoral activity of all candidates in elections from 1991 to 2023. It allows for illustrating the occurrence of events over time by tracking candidates' electoral activities. Many previous empirical studies on the course and consequences of parliamentary elections have significant gaps, as they are limited to analyzing the situation of parliamentarians (often focusing on only selected categories). They lack the history of candidacies in elections, even though voters' final decisions are based on the assessment of previous results of candidates and the political entities they represent.These analyses are significant for explaining the dynamics of the political system and assessing the quality of democracy. They also enable empirical verification of hypotheses concerning the periodization of the institutionalization of the electoral system in Poland from 1991 to 2023.</p>

(2022) DOI: <a href="https://www.oaepublish.com/jeea/article/view/5192">10.20517/jeea.2022.23</a> which can help to better estimate the exposure risks of organic contaminants to humans in the indoor environment. The categories of the main detected chemical groups were&nbsp;plant natural products (n = 57), personal care products (n = 44), pharmaceuticals (n = 44), food additives (n = 43), plasticisers (n = 43), flame retardants (n = 43), colourants (n = 42) and pesticides (n = 31).</p> <p>Additional notes: For entries existing in multiple isomeric forms, an additional row has been added (ID347-352) with corresponding identifiers while the metadata for each isomer exist as per original entries<br> &nbsp;</p>

(2017)</a>.&nbsp;</p> <p>Os crit&eacute;rios de inclus&atilde;o de um munic&iacute;pio na lista da Amaz&ocirc;nia s&atilde;o: &aacute;rea total de floresta desmatada; &aacute;rea total de floresta desmatada nos &uacute;ltimos tr&ecirc;s anos; e aumento da taxa de desmatamento em pelo menos tr&ecirc;s, dos &uacute;ltimos cinco anos. As consequ&ecirc;ncias da inclus&atilde;o na lista s&atilde;o: maior monitoramento e fiscaliza&ccedil;&atilde;o; n&atilde;o aprova&ccedil;&atilde;o de cr&eacute;ditos para atividade agropecu&aacute;ria; embargo de atividades relacionadas ao desmatamento; aplica&ccedil;&atilde;o de multas; divulga&ccedil;&atilde;o de dados do im&oacute;vel rural em que ocorreu a infra&ccedil;&atilde;o, e seu titular. Springtails (Arthropoda, Collembola) from Greater Puerto Rico: species list and distribution

The Collembola fauna of Puerto Rico is reasonably well known, but many recent reports are scattered in published literature and unpublished theses. Here we present a summary of all springtail species identified from the Bank of Puerto Rico since 1927 and 2011. This includes new, previously unpublished records. In the present review we list 119 species in 59 genera and 17 families. Most species (37) belong in family Entomobryidae, but this reflects the taxonomic expertise of specialists working in Puerto Rico rather than a real bias in the distribution of higher taxa in the islands. In addition to the new reports, these data provide information on the distribution of the species outside the island bank. This current list of species is an update to original species lists from Puerto Rico (Mari Mutt 1982 and Thibaud 2014). It was compiled from the series of rosters available at the&nbsp;Archives of Rotary International (Evanston, Ill). The file contains not only membership but also biographical data extracted from contemporary <em>Who&#39;s Who</em>.
