Royal Factory B.E. 2c - First World War Airplane
The U.K. designed B.E. 2s saw service with the Royal Flying Corps (U.K.) from 1912 onwards. The B.E. 2c operated in France, mainly for reconnaissance and observation, although some were single-seat bombers. Single-seat B.E. 2c night fighters downed six airships over Britain. <br><br> The B.E. 2c found at the Canada Aviation and Space Museum was sent to Canada as a war trophy in 1919. Welsh National Falklands War Memorial
Falklands War Memorial *Created during COMSC Placement 2021 Cardiff University* The Falklands War Memorial was created in 2007 to commemorate those who died in the Falklands conflict of 1982. The memorial was created by the Wales branch of the South Atlantic Medal Association and the stone on the top is taken directly from Mount Harriet in 1982. This model was created using Meshroom and edited using Autodesk recap photo. This is a coin commissioned in Germany during World War I. Note the sinking of the Lusitania on one side. Thanks to the Strathroy-Caradoc museum for access to this object. Bristol F.2B - First World War Airplane
The U.K. designed Bristol Fighter was the most successful two-seat combat aircraft of the First World War. The Bristol F.2B found at the Canada Aviation and Space Museum was built in 1918. It was restored by the Historic Aircraft Collection in the U.K. from the early 1980s to 2006. In 2006, it flew in several aerial displays in Britain. Oldest Surviving Civil War Monument
Excerpt from the Frazier Kentucky History Museum's Website: "Carved in January 1862, the 3,500-lb. limestone memorial features an eagle relief and a German-language inscription. **It is believed to be the nation's oldest surviving Civil War monument.** Private August Bloedner of the 32nd Indiana Infantry, a Union regiment comprised entirely of German-American immigrants, carved the monument after the Battle of Rowlett's Station, which took place December 17, 1861 in Munfordville, Kentucky, to mark the interments of fellow soldiers who died there. In 2010, the Frazier Museum obtained the monument through a long-term loan from the NCA." This model was created using photogrammetry. The photos were taken May 10, 2021. This model is incomplete and represents only a proof of concept, since access to the exhibit was limited by guard rails and the artifact was placed against a wall. stop war a free downloadable sculpture,. In War there can be heroic persons who "dont need a ride, - but amonition" and there can be Villans, who considder killings, in a Orwelsk language, to be "special Millitary operations" - but its still the civillians and specielly the children who have no part in all this, who are the victims. My sculpture is a tribute, to the most vulnarable who also some times need to be the most braves, - and say no- and stop this war. The girl haved flied in here kanin shoes, and her sleeping clothes, - having no time, and she´s bravelly trying to protect her Teddybear, as her only belongings. That is the tale of this sculpture, and my attempt to visualize the war, in a dignified, and not sensation seeking way. The War Stone
This is a simple scan of the War Stone which sits on the edge of War Stone Lane in Birmingham's Jewellery Quarter, in the English Midlands. It probably sat in the area for thousands of years, since the last ice age, until the surrounding city enveloped it. It then fell into use as a boundary marker at the junction of the parishes of Aston, Birmingham and Handsworth. Spanish Civil War Fighting Position (Guadarrama)
Winter 1938, after a quick but intense fortification labour the 72º Division was finishing the fortification of Cuesta de la Casa. It was during this hard winter in the montanious northern Madrid when the republicans were preparing an attack to interfer in the defensive works and, maybe, trying to retake this stronghold. The attack would be launched with fire support from faraway positions and machinegun-riffles. The francoist soldiers were warming in their positions with fires from what little wood they could find in the bold landscape. The goberment soldiers attacked, shooting their mausers and mosin-nagants and throwing grenades at close range. An intense fight took place, but no sucess was achived by the attackers. Remains of this particular event were found during the excavation and intensive survey of this position and surroundings. Spanish Civil War "Ciudad Universitaria"
This is another wall of Ciudad Universitaria (Madrid) with more marks than the previously uploaded (https://skfb.ly/6VWpr). The enormous amount of bullet and artillery marks indicates that this position was completly exposed to the nationalist direct fire from their strategic position at the Hospital Clínico, the farthest penetration point in their attack over Madrid in november 1936. However, we shouldn't assume that the mayority of the impacts come from the battle of Ciudad Universitaria. Combat was very frecuent and the francoists never gave up in their attempt to capture the capital until 1939. Several offensives were launched by both sides during the whole war, turning the campus into a apocalyptic landscape. Mud, barbed wire, cold, unburied corpses, artillery shelling and night assaults remember more a typical WWI scenario like Ypres and Passchendaele... It could be surprising, but few students in the university actually know something about the rich contemporany heritage intrinsic in their faculties. Source: Objaverse 1.0 / Sketchfab
Civil War Monument CloudCompare (Base Aligned)
The American Civil War monument dedicated to General Lee located near Bradfordville, FL. This is an experiment to test CloudCompare software by comparing the [2016 version](https://sketchfab.com/models/8e753b01f9594236bc2840f53c5d10e1) of this monument to the [2017 version](https://sketchfab.com/models/7a678d7bc8af477489c1ed287d9ac1ad) after the stone slab was knocked over and reset. Since the stone was reset slightly differently than before, two different comparisons were necessary. This version aligns the base, you can find the face-aligned version [here](https://sketchfab.com/models/384dfb5f86a34193ab5e542f72bd4a8c). The model is of the 2016 version, the colors represent how the 2017 version has changed.
