Fig. 1 in Pseudorhadinorhynchus samegaiensis (Acanthocephala: Echinorhynchida: Illiosentidae) Uses the Amphipod Jesogammarus (Annanogammarus) fluvialis as an Intermediate Host in a Stream of the Lake Biwa Basin, Central Japan
Fig. 1. Jesogammarus (Annanogammarus) fluvialis infected with two fully developed cystacanths (a, b) and one early cystacanth (c) of Pseudorhadinorhynchus samegaiensis. A, Lateral view of amphipod harboring three cystacanths in hemocoel; B, three cystacanths dissected free from amphipod. Note faint orange spots (a, b) in amphipod's hemocoel (A) and faint orange body surface of cystacanths (B). Scale bars: A, 2 mm; B, 1 mm.
Fig. 2. A in Pseudoleucochloridium ainohelicis nom. nov. (Trematoda: Panopistidae), a Replacement for Glaphyrostomum soricis Found from Long-Clawed Shrews in Hokkaido, Japan, with New Data on its Intermediate Hosts
Fig. 2. A maximum-likelihood phylogenetic tree of the superfamily Brachylaimoidea inferred from 28S rDNA sequences. Three isolates of Pseudoleucochloridium ainohelicis nom. nov. and 11 isolates of 9 related species were included in the tree. The DNA database accession numbers are shown in the tree. Clinostomum cutaneum Paperna, 1964, a member of the family Clinostomidae Lühe, 1901, was used as an outgroup taxon (database accession no. GQ339114). Bootstrap percentages are shown on each node. Scale bar indicates the number of substitutions per nucleotide site.

Fig. 3. The sporocyst of Pseudoleucochloridium ainohelicis nom. nov. from Ainohelix editha. A) Branched tubes in the hepatopancreas (macrophotograph). Scale bar 2 mm; B) Branched tubes containing cercariae. Scale bar 200 µm.
Compiled call report data for: Financial intermediation, capital accumulation and crisis recovery

We integrate bank and bond financing into a two-sector neoclassical growth model and identify an automatic stabilization effect due to endogenous bank leverage adjustment. We show that although bank leverage amplifies shocks, the increase of leverage due to a decline in bank equity partially offsets the post-crisis decline of bank lending and accelerates economic recovery by reducing the persistence of the bank lending channel. In this case, endogenous leverage adjustment is an automatic stabilizer. Regulatory state-independent capital limits and wage rigidities impair the re-allocation of capital between sectors and weaken this automatic stabilization. A quantitative analysis of the US during the Great Recession shows that the magnitude of automatic stabilization can be significant and informs about potentially high costs of strict capital regulation or wage rigidities during banking crises.
