<p>This is a basic reproduction package for the paper "Expanding the inventory of spectral lines used to trace atmospheric escape in exoplanets" by Linssen & Oklopčić (2023). It provides the full transmission spectra of all simulations presented in the paper, as well as the data products necessary to reproduce the figures of the paper.</p>

The z.npy array reports the height for the lower 28 eta-levels (up to about 2000 m) and in the other three arrays you can find the hourly mean values of potential temperature (PT_profile.npy), wind speed (WSPD_profile.npy) and eddy viscosity (km_profile.npy).</p> <p> </p>
Improving gross primary production estimation accuracy on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau considering the effect of atmospheric CO2 fertilization
<p>This GPP dataset was generated by the improved GPP estimation model which introduced atmospheric CO<sub>2</sub> fertilization effect and canopy-to-leaf CO<sub>2</sub> concentration gradients into the CASA model. The dataset was provided in TIF format at a month interval. The valid value ranges from 0 to 1000, and the background filled value is set to NoData. The scale factor of the data is 1. Each TIF file represents a month GPP at a daily cumulative value (unit: g C m<sup>-2</sup> month<sup>-1</sup>).</p>

Data for the publication "Sensitivity of Banner Cloud Formation to Orography and the Ambient Atmosphere: Transition From Idealized to More Realistic Scenarios"
<p>Data accompanying the paper titled: "Sensitivity of Banner Cloud Formation to Orography and the Ambient Atmosphere: Transition From Idealized to More Realistic Scenarios"</p> <p>This repository contains output statistics for thirty simulations run with the EULAG model in LES mode (Prusa et al., 2008).</p> <p>We use three distinct configurations of the model domain and its orography, ranging from highly idealized to fully realistic. The configuration with realistic orography is referred to as “Matt_Ref” and covers a domain of 12.8 x 9.6 x 7 km. As our intermediate configuration, we use the realistic orography from the Matterhorn summit protruding from a flat plain, referred to as "Matt_Iso". As our highly idealized configuration we consider a Pyramid protruding from a flat plain, referred to as "Pyr". In both configurations the model domain extends 11.6 x 9.2 x 4.5 km. The simulations of all three configurations are performed with an isotropic grid spacing of 25 m.<br> <br> Each zip-file contains the time-averaged fields of six simulations with inflow conditions of a sheared or constant wind profile with 5, 10 and 20 m/s, and neutral stratification up to the height of the mountain summit. For the "Matt_Ref" configuration exists two additional zip-files containing data of a neutral stratification up to 500 meter and 800 meter below the mountain summit. Moreover, for the "Matt_Ref" configuration exists three additional zip-files containing the time-averaged turbulent fields. For more details have a look at the paper.</p>

<p>File containing 1-D model [netCDF] files used in the JGR: Planets manuscript "Martian atmospheric chemistry of HCl: implications for the lifetime of atmospheric methane".</p> <p><strong>MCD-model.zip</strong></p> <p>Contains data files where the 1-D model is driven using Mars Climate Database v5.3 standard climatological profiles of dust and ice aerosols and H2O. readme.txt provides details of the subdirectory structure.</p> <p><strong>TGO-model.zip</strong></p> <p>Contains data files where the 1-D model is driven using dust and ice aerosol profiles retrieved by the ACS TIRVIM and H2O profiles retrieved by either the NOMAD spectrometer or ACS NIR channel. readme.txt provides details of the directory structure.</p> <p><strong>matching_orbits.txt</strong></p> <p>Spatio-temporal details of the 77 ACS MIR HCl retrievals that we aim to reproduce, including the details of the approximately co-located ACS TIRVIM aerosol and NOMAD/ACS NIR H2O retrievals used to drive the 1-D model.</p>

<p>Code and Data Supplement for "A Mountain-Induced Moist Baroclinic Wave Test Case for the Dynamical Cores of Atmospheric General Circulation Models"<br> ===========================================================</p> <p>This directory contains the data and scripts used to create the plots from our publication as well as the source<br> code modifications necessary to run this test case within the CESM and MPAS models.</p> <p>Generating Plots<br> ---------------</p> <p>The `netcdf` directory contains the nominal half-degree runs necessary to generate nearly all of the plots from the paper. The one plot which is not reproducible from these data is the volume-integrated Eddy Kinetic Energy in the Spectral Element model. Storing high-resolution 4D wind fields requires a prohibitive amount of space. These data can be provided by the corresponding author, O.K. Hughes (owhughes@umich.edu). However, because this is several hundred GB of data I would strongly recommend generating these high-resolution runs yourself on your local system if you need them. Using 288 Intel Skylake cores (that is, 8 nodes each with two 18C processors) ran on the order of an hour.</p> <p><em>In order to generate the plots from the paper, you need only install NCL and then run</em> run.bash. Instructions for installing NCL<br> can be found in the `run.bash` script.</p> <p>Source Code Modifications<br> ----------------</p> <p><strong>CESM</strong><br> The `src` subdirectory contains the files `user_nl_cam` and `ic_baroclinic.F90`. Create a case using `--compset=FKESSLER` and `--run-unsupported` options when running `create_newcase`. If your case is located at `${CASE_DIR}`, then from within the directory containing this README, run `cp user_nl_cam ${CASE_DIR}/user_nl_cam`, and then run `cp ic_baroclinic.F90 ${CASE_DIR}/SourceMods/src.cam/`. Then build and run the model using the usual workflow.</p> <p><strong>MPAS</strong></p> <p>The MPAS code was run using a branch of the MPAS model provided by the model developers to the authors. While the source code modifications are provided in the `src` directory, I would strongly recommend contacting the corresponding author if you wish to run this test case in the MPAS codebase.</p>

NICOCO simulation data for the article "Diagnostic method for atmosphere–ocean coupling over tropical oceans at the sub-seasonal timescale"
<p>This data set includes data from an 8-year integration on the atmosphere-ocean coupled model NICOCO from 1 January 2010 to 31 December 2017. All outputs are daily averages on 1 x 1 degrees resolution. Output variables are sea surface temperature (K) and column water vapor (kg m-2). </p>
