CORD-19_ scite_citation_tallies+contexts
<pre>Update: As of March 27, 2020 we have now analyzed 31,527 distinct sources (articles and preprints) from the most recent CORD-19 data (<a href="https://www.kaggle.com/allen-institute-for-ai/CORD-19-research-challenge/version/4">https://www.kaggle.com/allen-institute-for-ai/CORD-19-research-challenge/version/4</a>. We're releasing citation tallies for these sources (covid-source-tallies 32720.csv). We're also releasing citation statements and classifications from these documents for open articles, which includes 1,682,216 out of the total 1,779,024 extracted. On March 20, 2020 we have analyzed 20,268 out of the 21,792 DOIS available from the <a href="https://www.kaggle.com/allen-institute-for-ai/CORD-19-research-challenge">CORD-19 data set</a>. Of these documents we found citations citing 16,775 of them, and the classifications for these citations are included in covid-source-tallies.csv. covid-citations.csv includes all citations we have from all of the ~20k documents we have processed. This file is truncated to make sure it only includes openly available documents. The tallies however are not limited by this, and it is the full set relating to all source documents scite has processed.</pre>

Data from: Environmental context determines the limiting demographic processes for plant recruitment across a species' elevational range
<p>Plant recruitment is a multi-stage process determining population dynamics and species distributions. Still, we have limited understanding of how the successive demographic processes depend on the environmental context across species' distributional ranges. We conducted a large-scale transplant experiment to study recruitment of <i>Pinus cembra</i> over six years. We quantified the effects of environmental conditions on four demographic processes and identified the most limiting across and beyond the pines' elevational range over several years. Realized transition probabilities of the demographic processes varied substantially across the species' distributional range. Seed deposition decreased from the lower to the upper elevational range margin by 90 %, but this reduction was offset by increased seed germination and seedling survival. Dispersal limitation at the upper range margin potentially stems from unsuitable seed caching conditions for the animal seed disperser, whereas increased seed germination might result from enemy escape from fungal pathogens and favourable abiotic conditions at the upper range margin. Our multi-year experiment demonstrates that environmental context is decisive for the local relevance of particular demographic processes. We conclude that experimental studies identifying the limiting demographic processes controlling species distributions are key for projecting future range dynamics of plants.</p>
Context-dependent modulation of natural approach behavior in mice
<p>Specific features of visual objects innately draw approach responses in animals, and provide natural signals of potential reward. However, visual sampling behaviors and the detection of salient, rewarding stimuli are context and behavioral state-dependent. The neural mechanisms underlying how the brain encodes naturally appetitive stimuli and conditionally transforms them into approach behavior remain unclear. To mechanistically understand this process, we probed natural approach behavior in mice by employing a virtual stimulus orienting paradigm based on prey capture to quantify the conditional expression of visual stimulus-evoked innate approach in freely moving mice. We found that specific combinations of stimulus features selectively evoked innate approach versus freezing behavioral responses when stimuli were unexpected. However, we discovered that prey capture experience, and therefore the expectation of prey in the environment, selectively modified a range of visually-evoked appetitive behaviors, as well as altered those visual features that evoked approach. Thus, we found that mice exhibit robust and selective orienting responses to parameterized visual stimuli that can be readily modified via natural experience. This work provides critical insight into how natural appetitive behaviors are driven by both visual motion and internal state. </p>
InHARD - Industrial Human Action Recognition Dataset in the Context of Industrial Collaborative Robotics
<p><strong>Objectives</strong></p> <p>We introduce a RGB+S dataset named “Industrial Human Action Recognition Dataset” (InHARD) from a real-world setting for industrial human action recognition with over 2 million frames, collected from 16 distinct subjects. This dataset contains 13 different industrial action classes and over 4800 action samples.
