Data for the publication "Sensitivity of Banner Cloud Formation to Orography and the Ambient Atmosphere: Transition From Idealized to More Realistic Scenarios"
<p>Data accompanying the paper titled: "Sensitivity of Banner Cloud Formation to Orography and the Ambient Atmosphere: Transition From Idealized to More Realistic Scenarios"</p> <p>This repository contains output statistics for thirty simulations run with the EULAG model in LES mode (Prusa et al., 2008).</p> <p>We use three distinct configurations of the model domain and its orography, ranging from highly idealized to fully realistic. The configuration with realistic orography is referred to as “Matt_Ref” and covers a domain of 12.8 x 9.6 x 7 km. As our intermediate configuration, we use the realistic orography from the Matterhorn summit protruding from a flat plain, referred to as "Matt_Iso". As our highly idealized configuration we consider a Pyramid protruding from a flat plain, referred to as "Pyr". In both configurations the model domain extends 11.6 x 9.2 x 4.5 km. The simulations of all three configurations are performed with an isotropic grid spacing of 25 m.<br> <br> Each zip-file contains the time-averaged fields of six simulations with inflow conditions of a sheared or constant wind profile with 5, 10 and 20 m/s, and neutral stratification up to the height of the mountain summit. For the "Matt_Ref" configuration exists two additional zip-files containing data of a neutral stratification up to 500 meter and 800 meter below the mountain summit. Moreover, for the "Matt_Ref" configuration exists three additional zip-files containing the time-averaged turbulent fields. For more details have a look at the paper.</p>

Cloud Factory - Skeletonizing and Analyzing Pipeline Tutorial Fits Files
<p>Fits files used in the tutorial notebooks that skeletonizes and analyzes clouds within a Cloud Factory grid. These files are the post-processed version of one grid (see Binary to Fits tutorial) with precomputed outputs of the pipeline (thresholded_data.fits and skeleton.fits). The grid is a 500x500x500 pc region of the Feedback-Dominated grid, with the total volume density of hydrogen nuclei (nhtot), volume density of carbon monoxide (nCO), molecular hydrogen (nH2), ionized hydrogen (nHP), atomic hydrogen (nH1), the gas tempearture (temp), and effective cooling from dust (tdust). </p>

Virtual Forest Twins based on Marteloscope point cloud data from different forest ecosystem types and its associated teaching workload
<p>The 8th intellectual output (IO-8) titled "Virtual Forest Twins based on Marteloscope point cloud data from different forest ecosystems type and its associated teaching workload" [of the Erasmus+ project "Virtualization of Forest Studies (Virtual Forests)"] was led by Eberswalde University for Sustainable Development (HNEE) in Eberswalde, Germany. The main objectives of IO-8 were two-fold: (1) the development of an analytical pipeline for the virtualization of real forest stands from selected marteloscope sites into 3D virtual twins, and (2) the preparation of open-access, blended teaching and training materials based on the aforementioned analytical pipeline. Specifically, 3D virtual forest twins were created based on point cloud data derived from UAV-mounted and hand-held terrestrial laser scanning technology, followed by a series of software- and hardware-supported analytical steps, and finally rendered for visualization and presentation. The point cloud data collected represents the first significant product of IO8. All further results and products are compiled into open-source resources for teaching, training and research purposes in higher education and forest science. These include technical guidelines, MSc.-level learning materials available for self-directed study on the project Moodle, and a stand-alone online multimedia tutorial narrated in a published ArcGIS StoryMap. </p>

Johannes Gereb coat of arms_point cloud
The coat of arms for Johannes Gereb of Vingard, the founder of the Evangelical Church of Vingard, Alba County, Romania. This is a test for displaying the point cloud within Sketchfab. Full model of the church here: https://skfb.ly/66qB8. The coat of arms is located high up on the western facade. Point cloud created from 13 photographs taken with a 105mm telephoto macro lens, from ground level (hence the missing areas). Point size is set to 0.5. Source: Objaverse 1.0 / Sketchfab
SY Carola (point cloud)
*SY Carola* is possibly the oldest seagoing steam yacht in the world. It was built in 1898 by Scott & Sons of Bowling at their shipyard on the north banks of the River Clyde. At 70ft in length, *Carola* is of steel construction with teak decking and deckhouse, and now has two masts. Built for personal use by the shipbuilder's family, *Carola* was used as a yacht during the summer months and when not being used for pleasure by the family, it would take groups of senior yard staff on Clyde cruises. In winter it would have served as a tender and tug at the shipyard. By 1964 it was sold to a private owner, before being purchased in 1981 by a Sussex firm and used for corporate hospitality. *Carola* became a part of the Scottish Maritime Museum's collection in 1994. The model was created as a part of 'Scanning The Horizon' 3D digitisation project. We would like to thank [Historic Environment Scotland](historicenvironment.scot) and [Ulmus Media](https://ulmusmedia.co.uk/) for their help during this project. Source: Objaverse 1.0 / Sketchfab
